Hi all I have noticed here lately that my miles at 90% which is the normal charging I do has dropped about 25 miles. When I first got the car, range at 90% was always 250 miles and 270 to 300 when the weather was warm at 100%. Now it consistently is in the 220 range at 90% Is there a conditioning that has to be done on these to maintain my range? I'm concerned I've only got 12,700 miles in a year and 3 months on this and already losing range? I also can't get past the 2.7.1 update so don't know if there is any software updates that address this?

Have you noticed any change in your average mi/kWh? That is what I would go by more than the range estimate. Also I know Ford is rolling out a new range algorithm but my understanding it is only out to the EA crowd but I could be mistaken.

Yes. But I did get beefier tires and 20" wheels. Going slightly uphill and northbound against the wind in hot Cali with AC blasting - 1.7 mi/kWh. The other direction - 2.2 mi/kWh. I'm running near 40-41 psi. Not sure what's up...

I'm stuck on 2.7.1 too. I wouldn't worry about the GOM estimate, I would check the m/kwh as the above poster said

Going off the GOM (Guess O Meter) or trying to guess how that algorithm works is pointless. Miles per kWh is what you need to track. If you are seeing a meaningful drop there based upon similar routes and temps headwinds, then you should be concerned, but I highly doubt it. I’m 16mos and 18k into by Job 1 and I haven’t noticed a smidge of range reduction.

I noticed the same. Its getting better and back to normal (SR AWD Select -> 230 miles @90%) but my mi/kwh has gone from 4.0+ to 3.7. Same driving habbits

We are averaging 3.5 miles per kWh at 12 months and 9K miles. I think the GOM got more conservative after getting CSP 21P22 applied. I haven’t seen it go over 300 since then but actual mileage hasn‘t changed.

That would do it. Bigger tires are always a problem on any vehicle for mileage

I have not paid attention to that but will now. Is the a standard I should be looking at if the mi / kwh is at max output?

Last summer I was getting 270 miles with 100% charge. Now it’s 284 miles with improved mi/kWh efficiency. Driving habits the same. Possibly related to one of the many software updates?

I believe the mi/kWh is the most accurate measure of how your Mach is performing. The range is just an estimate which, as I mentioned, Ford appears to be trying to improve. As we approach winter, unfortunately not that far off here in Alaska, I will reset my driving history as the average mi/kWh will drop and I will want to get rid of the summer driving info. Right now my average is 3.7 mi/kWh. My range indication is about 15% under what I am actually achieving. I only drive around town and charge every other day so the range does not matter much to me. Once they get another charger or two along the highway between Fairbanks and Anchorage I will give that a go and see how range and average mi/kWh compare. From my reading I know they call it the Guess O Meter but I would like to get a feel for myself.
