So I put our 2 week old MachE GTPE on Unbridled extend and immediately got this wrench in the Smaller display and Ford Pass Notification.

What is weird is I took it out of Unbridled Extend, and Powered off then on the car and it went away?

This happened when in a Panera drive thru line so wasn't actually doing any Unbridled driving let alone Extending anything I was aware of.

When was your car built and are you saying the error has cleared up?

April 22, 2022 and yes, I did what I said in my original post and the wrench went away.

I just went out and put in Unbridled Extend and the difference is I see skid control off illuminated which when I got the wrench it wasn't.

Maybe it knew if you did in fact go into unbridled extend mode you would need a wrench due to being in a drive through?

If it were me I guess I would contact my dealer. Hopefully not a major issue!

My FE did this once. Turned the car off for an hour and it went away and hasn't came back since. It was before my OTAs started rolling in and modules were updated. So I assume those updated modules had a fix somewhere.

I was getting high voltage battery warnings/powertrain malfunction warnings very randomly, and the dealer reflashed the OBCC module under TSB 22-2264. I can't find any info on this TSB though.

In my case they did update the GSM first, but the issue came back a few days later. Like I said they had to replace the module to get it to go away for good. I did some hunting on this forum at the time and found there were some issues with contacts that could cause them to have a poor connection or otherwise.
