Husband ordered his Mach-e Premium on February 13. Based on all the information here when can we expect it?
I wouldn't bet on anything soon. Ordered an AWD ER Pemium at the end of last December and still haven't been scheduled. I'd look elsewhere. I ordered a Kia EV6 mid-May and received it at the end of June and couldn't be happier. I haven't canceled my MME order yet because I'm curious when it will get scheduled after waiting so long. I'll never buy a @Ford Motor Company vehicle again. Their customer service is terrible.

Good luck, I ordered in Mid-January and havent heard anything. So frustrating, at this rate the Rivian will be here before the Mach E. The startup is doing a better job making cars than the rotten 100 year old blue oval.
I believe MME production greatly exceeds Rivian production. the MME Plant is production about 5000 MME’s on average. Rivian only produced 4400 vehicles for all of Q2.

I've been waiting 32 weeks for my prem AWD ER red to be scheduled. Every Thursday for last 5 weeks, I think "it will be scheduled this week". Tomorrow is another "scheduling Thursday" for the four build weeks in September. I am now accustomed to disappointment.
If they shut down the plant 2 weeks in August, that leaves 11 weeks of production to the end of October. If they produced as many as 1500 units per week in that time period, that would be 16,500 MME units! While Ford may continue to redistribute the scheduled build dates, the end of October appears to be the end of the model year 2022 production run. Ford will stop making the 2022MY and convert the assembly plant over to 2023MY and begin production ~ 1 Nov. (There's also a hypothesis that Cuautitlan could add a second production line in this period, too.) MME 2022MY orders that are still unscheduled to be built by the end of October would be converted over to 2023MY (possibly around 15 Sept when 2023MY scheduling begins) and be assembled after the plant resumes production with delivery around New Year's 2023.)

If they shut down the plant 2 weeks in August, that leaves 7 weeks of production to the end of September. If they produced as many as 1500 units per week in that time period, that would be 10,500 MME units! While Ford may continue to redistribute the scheduled build dates, the end of September is suspected to be the end of the model year 2022 production run. Ford will stop making the 2022MY and convert the assembly plant over to 2023MY and resume production 2-5 weeks later. (There's also a hypothesis that Cuautitlan will add a second production line in this period, too.) MME 2022MY orders that are still unscheduled to be built by the end of September would be converted over to 2023MY and be assembled after the plant resumes production with delivery around New Year's 2023.
The last day of 2022MY production is currently scheduled for 10/29/2022. That give 4 additional weeks of production of 2022MY production. 2023MY production is scheduled to begin 10/31/2022. Unless there are major changes to 2023MY MME there wouldn't be a need to retool the line. Also if a 2nd line is coming online, that line can be tooled to 2023MY production and can start up on 10/31/2022. Then the current line can go down for any retooling if needed.

That would be very good news for "those who wait". (32 weeks without a build date.) It's so easy to become cynical about Ford's MME production and allocation. (I've been passing on the hypothesis about a "worst case" timeline, actually hoping someone would provide better information.) What is the source of info on your timeline?

2022 Mach E Select (Build week 9/26/22)

I ordered my select RWD Red - no other options 2 days before the order book closed. - I spoke with the dealership today to try to find out where I am in there own queue. The manager I spoke with said he'd have to check with their fleet manager but wasn't sure if they could see where I was.

He said I could probably get more information from the Forums than what Ford releases to the dealerships.

Ford sent out that email about communicating every 45 days - It would have been nice to see something like we have X number of pending builds and trying to complete them as soon as possible. If your order does not go into production by.... then.....

So we'll have to see

Ordered mine on 11/30/21. AWD EXT IBSM. Hoping this is my week too but I’ve been let down before.
Ordered exact same car and order date. Not giving up, but am beyond frustrated - especially as I haven’t see Ford try to “make it right” for customers who seemed to have fallen off the selection table.

We ordered a premium AWD ER early december, the only communication from Ford was when the prep kit was taken out, not much luck with the dealer either. After so long waiting, I will be amazed when it gets scheduled

I do agree that the communication should have been much better, it would have been nice to have some sort of idea how far back in the queue for scheduling you are instead of the mystery that this is. I am still holding out hope that I get scheduled in Sept but my biggest concern is with the black hole scheduling process if MY23 orders get input into the system I could end up behind those orders....

It seems like a few months ago they were pumping out a lot of GT's then swung the pendulum over to Select/Premium orders from late '21 to early '22. Does anyone following this know what have been the most common builds lately?

Ordered GTPE on 3/31/22 - guessing this will likely be a '23 now??
My GT (non-PE) was ordered 3/7 and is being built this week, FWIW.

I think we know that Ford cut off the US order books for certain trims/packages at certain times specifically to try to make sure they get all the orders in before turning over the line. The fact that they extended until the end of October reinforces that.

So I am think of the math as sort of back-dating. We ordered ours on 2/19, and Ford cut off the Premium XR order book about 10 days later. So, we would theoretically be near the end of the run. That means probably we will get an October build date, so I don't expect to hear a date from Ford until August or maybe September. If it comes earlier, great! But I am pretty sure they are doing whatever they can to not have to force anyone into rolling over to the next MY.

One thing they might do, if they think they will be close to getting that done but not quite, is offer some sort of small "deal" for remaining orders to volunteer for the next MY with an incentive (like price protection, maybe extra warranty coverage, etc.). Just to get enough roll-over to get everyone else's in within the timeframe.

Thanks for good info from June 10 bulletin. I suppose "2022MY Balance Out Date" must mean "end of 2022MY production"? and "2023MY Job#1 Date" means "2023MY production begins"?

  • 04/29/2022 - 2022MY Final Fleet Order Due Date
  • 08/18/2022 - 2022MY Last Day to Spec Change
  • 10/29/2022 - 2022MY Balance Out Date
  • 08/25/2022 - 2023MY Order Bank Open Date
  • 09/15/2022 - 2023MY Scheduling Begins
  • 10/31/2022 - 2023MY Job #1 Date

Ordered my Orange Premium ER AWD October 14, 2021. Build week was changed from June to this week. Any way to check further? My order # is invalid per the website. I've got a VIN #. Any clues? Should I consult the Magic 8 ball??? Thanks.
