Owned mine a year. Done 3 road trips so far and wish I had that new charging curve to take advantage of. Few software updates but the curve has yet to change. Any updates on this?

The recall will give you the new charging curve.

I had my dealer update the software in my GT in Feb and got the improved charging curve then. You can wait for the recall OTA, or have the dealership do it.

A year? So probably June 2021 build date? You qualify for 21P22 as well, which gives the charging curve, but so does the recall software. Make sure you get both as 21P22 has a few extra updates.

The shorter diveboard off the charging cliff is a really nice benefit if you're lingering at a charge stop past 80%.

I really wish that Ford would shave 5 minutes off the real life 10-80% charge time though. Right now it's 41 minutes to go 10% -> 80% so I find myself just sitting & waiting for that last 5-10 minutes when we're doing a deeper charge session.

How can I tell? I got the recall done at the dealer last week so I ASSUME of course I got the curve update, but I want to "trust but verify." How do I test it?

DCFC above 80% and look at the kW rate. Without the update it will be around 11 kW, with the update it will be about 40 kW.

Thanks, I'll give that a try next time I DCFC.

Did you gain added miles? Our gtpe recorded 291 miles highest last month and now avg 285. Winter best 220. We have auto updates.

You gained nothing. Your driving history reset. You will see it drop over time. Auto updates simply applies updates, doesn't speed up getting them.

I was hoping that eventually they would make a shift to the charge curve overall. More time at 150kw would make a huge difference.

My wife's Id4 claims 5 to 80 percent in 38 minutes. Only 135 kw charging

Oh the GTS have had that button since day 1
Exactly. All the early 21s are still waiting. Creeping up on 2 years for some. I would gladly trade my charging curve update for a frunk button.

I did get the extra 3 kWh added to the battery capacity at the same time the charging curve was improved, but the range didn't increase. From what some forum members have been told unofficially by Ford, the 3 kWh was added below 0%.

So while you could run your car down to let's say 7% instead of 10% on a trip, which gives you more range, the GOM didn't change. After my updates the GOM was still consistent with before the updates. Some people have seen driving history get reset, but that didn't appear to happen to me.

And to clarify, I did not receive any of these updates via OTA. The dealer did it with FDRS.
