We have full-screen Android Auto! Which update initiated this?

For those of you who have AA full screen, it seems that you have brand new cars? Also, which android device are you using and what version of Android do you guys have?

I have a job 2 21 and have a pixel 6 pro w latest Android OS, but dont have the full screen

I had no idea the screen was so different between 2022 and 2021's. This and the frunk and windows buttons in the Fordpass app I feel bad for 21 owners who haven't been updated yet.

Samsung S20. Looks like I'm running the Jun 28th (latest version). Definitely didn't have full screen driving my old car to the dealer, so I ass-u-me that it's the vehicle software that's different.

I did all my updates yesterday and i do not have this option yet.
I see there is also a separate button for AC now, nice

Judging by how long it took the job 1 cars to get job 2 updates incl BC, it could be many months before we see these little updates on '21 models. Not sure why that has to be, but alas...

I have revision 421 , but still full screen for android auto does not work. Also, do not have a button for AC - would love that feature. Also for seat heating, would like to see that made into a single touch button like the auto mode for Air

This is great, thanks for sharing! Are you able to share photos of the other screens/menus? I am curious to know what other changes there are. Perhaps you can also take a screenshot of your instrument cluster behind the steering wheel as well? I wonder if there are additional differences there.

What happens when you press the button for the heated seats? Do you still need to adjust a slider or are they just incremental adjustments from 1 through 3?

2022's are coming with this from the factory now. Other 2022's that don't have it will be getting it any time now.

2021 Job1 and job2 will get this in the next month or two. I think there are some in-between updates we are still needing to get before we get to this version.

Do you know why the sync version is lower than what was rolled out with BC? Will these updates be pushed widely with an updated sync version?

Different branches. This is likely the version we'll see in 3.x.x with the performance improvements.

The version number is just a date code.

It should, yes. As with all the other updates though, they could get delayed.

2022 cars I think are starting to see 3.1.1 already. 2021 I think will end up with another round of updates before we get to 3.1.1.

The main feature I can speak to is just the performance improvements. There are some other features coming that will be welcome additions, but not sure on when those will go live.

I will take some more pics when I get home.

Here is the instrument cluster. I didn't have a GT before so this is my first car with the power meter, but I think it is all unchanged (I didn't know the power meter showed regen before?)

I'm looking forward to the performance improvements and these interface changes also seem to be more thoughtfully implemented. Can't wait to start getting these updates, it seems like Ford dev teams have been hard at work rolling out a lot of improvements.
