Regarding the HVBJB issue, perhaps we could write a press release for Ford, the one we would like to see?
First rule: STAY FOCUSED on HVBJB, don't get side tracked on all the other issues like Frunk button and 5 sec limit and prior recalls for roof etc.
Second rule: MAKE FORD SOUND GREAT, very professional, proactive, generous and heck even heroic in their plan to make effected Mach-E owners "whole".
Goal: EVERBODY IS HAPPY. Ford would be proud to release the statement, recall-effected owner's would be even happier they bought their car, future owners will want to buy from Ford even more as a result.
Bullet points might include:
Intro: Talk about Ford and the Mach-E in a very positive fashion (steal from prior Press Releases, our Press Release could be a "mix tape" of sorts), then:
1. Talk about the recall software patch via OTA and dealerships and provide statistics to support how Mach-E OTAs have been second only to Tesla in success among EVs, yet Ford beats Tesla when it comes to having 10x the number of service centers nearby that can also do updates for you etc.
2. Announce that all effected vehicles will now have a new extended warranty for the HVBJB and associated parts/labor to replace it. And the warranty is not just for the first owner of the car but passes fully to the later owners.
3. Announce also that while Ford's data suggests fewer than 5% of the Mach-E vehicles effected might ever have a need to get the HVBJB replaced, ALL effected cars may get it replaced at their local Ford dealership whenever they wish for the lifetime of the vehicle.
Conclude: Talk about Ford and the Mach-E again in a very positive fashion AND perhaps even add some comment that "we do this to reassure all current and future owners of Ford EVs that we have your back, and particularly to those owning our Mustang brand we believe you should never be afraid to floor it when needed and appropriate."
This Mach E Forum of which I'm only a recent member of, has dozens of heroic members who as a group not only unearthed and made Ford face the HVBJB issue but every day, hourly, are here on the site supporting members who face failures and need help with those and with FDRS updates. Those of us who lack the technical tools and skills to join them in that effort perhaps can use our creative wordsmithing to help in this one.
Edit: Converted "statics" to statistics although guess they could use Physics too.
