You guys, @coolshades and @connoisseurr, are inspiring me. I have always preferred a shock only solution, but since none exits (still), this is looking better and better.

My problem is, i found the V3 only for AWD Mach-Es .. I am driving a RWD ... fingers crosssed, they have a release for mine, too. Been talking to a tuner yesterday, he said the V3 in the Mach-E is a huge improvement - fingers crossed he's right on that one. And by the way - there are more info on the settings V3 info english

The coilovers are compatible for all trims, variants and models. Doesn't matter if you have a select RWD or Premium AWD. It's all the same setup and installation.

I am sure you are right - i hope they have the mandatory legal approval ( i am in Germany, not the US ) available for all trims ... i'll let you know. Have an appointment with my tuner next saturday. Discussing rims and the V3

The vendor used for the group buy has a great relationship with the US-market KW rep, and the only reason they claim AWD compatibility is because that's the only model the were able to obtain for design and fitment confirmation. We were told as soon as they have a RWD model available for fitment confirmation, they will update the compatibility report.

I really like this video that was in there on the with and without V3's on a Tesla M3. I really like the bumps and curbs part, as well as braking and acceleration parts last half of this 5 min video. Makes me feel good about my purchase of the set. Too bad it wasn't a MME in the video.

Bought a cancelled order being the Premium ER RWD back in February. Ordered a GTPE back in December and bought it June 30. A huge difference from the premium trim to the GTPE trim when it comes to bounciness, handling and performance. Now there is some bounciness in the GTPE but not as severe and harsh of a ride in the Premium thanks to MagneRide. Plus the Premium tires and all other trims below is like having a body builder with skinny legs. The tires are not wide enough for the weight of the car and the ride feels like it sways a lot especially when its windy. No swaying motion in the GTPE tires at all. Both of the Mach-E's have been the best cars I've ever bought....but the GTPE I feel a bit spoiled than others😎 Just seyin..

Alright, I took care of my installation today, well, it was done by a very good friend of mine in Sterling, VA, while I was in his way taking photos and documenting the process.

The ride quality on factory settings is unquantifiable (very good). I do not experience any harsh rebounding effects on large dips or bumps, and the car finally has a comfortable, yet responsive feeling that it should have come with from the factory. The Mach-E comfortably coasts across any small and medium imperfections in the road - an experience I didn't expect to notice as much, post installation. I'm not going to say it's identical to Magneride, but it's very comparable (each solution has it's pluses and minuses).

The car is leveled to about 15mm lower than a standard GT height. The rear has flexibility to go about 3/4" lower or higher, and the front can adjust about 1-1/2" lower or higher. I will be making final adjustments in about 300-500 miles, after all settling is complete.

I also took the opportunity to slap on my Rokblokz mudflaps in prep for wheels to be installed. I'm getting the calipers painted in a week, so wheels will most likely be installed then.

Without further ado:

I just had a 2 hour drive (1 hour each way)to my daughters. I was up early this morning and was very tired, so after about 30 minutes turned the wheel over to my wife and figured I would catch some sleep. First time she has driven the car while I was in it. What a shitty ride in the passenger seat. I couldn’t sleep, felt every horrible whatever on the highway. it’s worse when your not the driver

I was on the fence about the coilovers but don’t think I have much choice now.

Very disappointed that Ford couldn’t put something better in the premium car

Thanks for the write up and hope to hear more.

One problem I foresee is making adjustments since the top one can’t be done unless you have a lift and I think that is the damper adjustment

Ford decided to make it a Mustang. That’s why you feel the bumps.

You’ll probably be happier with the Lincoln BEV whenever it comes out.

Only way to get both performance and a smooth ride is with a complicated and more expensive suspension like mag ride or adjustable coilovers.

But for a regular suspension? They had to pick between shitty ride and shitty handling. You know what they picked.

Well of course! They have adaptive suspensions (like mag ride!)

Very sophisticated and very expensive.

To quote the article:

“This is the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S front suspension, the struts attached to the anti-roll bar is what activates the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control system. The shocks are adaptive and called Porsche Active Stability Management.”
