Ice Blue Silver Metallic being discontinued on 2023 Lightnings. Will it affect my 2022 MME order in IBSM ??

So Ford decided to drop 3 colors for the 2023 Lightnings: Ice Blue Silver, Atlas Blue, and Smoked Quartz.

I ordered in April 2022, both Lightning and my wife's MME in Ice Blue Silver (IBSM).

My 2022 IBSM Lightning arrived last month.

My wife's 2022 IBSM MME is still in "Dealer accepted order" phase.

Will my wife's IBSM color get changed over or deleted if it gets built in the 2023 build phase ???

You should be OK if it is 2022 build. If the build is shifted to 2023 you may have to choose a new color.

Sometimes, however, they will end a color during a year. That happened to Smoked Quartz in the Lightning. It disappeared mid-2022. The same happened with the Mach E last year when Carbonized Gray was replaced with Dark Matter Gray.

Ford has a high turnover rate for blue's. Infinite Blue, chopped. Iced Blue, chopped. Now Vapor Blue, any bets? Hey, it's VB instead of IB this time at least!

Sounds like you rolled over to 2023 and your dealer should have had you down there about 3 weeks ago reordering. The color was not the reason for your roll, it was probably dealer allocation and parts. I ordered Ice Blue on the very last day possible to submit and my car is being built next week.

no, mix it with silver, mix it with grey, make it brighter than a bulls ass in flea season.

remember Shelby? they made a dark blue. c'mon man!

Agree - funky blue colors for sure.

I like the Antimatter Blue on the Lightning - has that chameleon color shifting hues.

My Ice Blue Silver went away and Ford tried to switch me to Vapor Blue = still not sold on it.

i ordered iced blue because it was the only other blue than grabber. just not a fan of grabber though it does look better in person than in images. the flake is very sexy.

anti matter blue is the best the have, but not available on mach e, which to me makes no sense.

i may just wrap the pig to get what i want, end of day, that's the path of least resistance. it's just not cheap.

iced blue is nice, it reminds me of the old 1966 light blue they had. i'm just replacing a silver car so i was hoping for something darker.

star white was my close second choice. it looks amazing in person.

I ordered on the last day, too and all I ever received since then was 2 emails from Ford saying "see we told you we'd email you. No updates."

Well, I really don't want to wait any longer - might just need to see what's on the lots.
