8/15 Mach-E Scheduling "Priority Code" Poll

OK. We DO NOT know this for a fact, but signs are pointing toward this weeks Mach-E "Retail Only" scheduling being the last, or one of the last of the 2022 model year. Speculation is that if it is, following weeks will likely be "Clean-Up" scheduling.
On the Mach-E Scheduling Retail Orders Only Next Week (8/15) board, I started to see a trend of people saying that the Priority Code on their orders was updated to "01". Understanding that this is the highest Priority Code and can only be assigned by Ford corporate (not dealers), this seems like it may be a good sign for those still waiting for a 2022 model year build date. I had a pleasant chat with Ford Customer Service and found that my Priority Code was also upgraded to 01.

All of that said, I thought I'd start a pole to see who's Priority codes have changed, and how in the last couple of weeks. If everyone was moved to 01, well, there's less meaning to it. If not, maybe there is hope?

When orders are placed, they are given Priority Codes.

Order's placed at a dealer are assigned a Priority Code by the dealer. Orders placed online are assigned a Priority Code by Ford. The lower the number, the higher the priority for build scheduling. So, Priority Code "01" is the highest priority code and most likely to get scheduled soonest.

There are two types of Priority Codes:

1. Priority Codes 10+ are assigned to orders when they are placed. If the dealer has 26 Premiums on order and you order another Premium, you should get Priority Code 27. At least that is the theory. When the Premium that is Priority Code 10 gets scheduled, or moved below 10 by Ford, everyone moves up one in priority. So your 27 becomes 26, etc. Again, that's the idea.
2. Priority Codes 1-9 can only be assigned by Ford. These have two, primary, purposes.
   • Assigned as orders get closer to being assigned a build week/day through natural progression.
   • Assigned by for for customers that have quality, damage, or other customer service issues. Example: A car is damaged significantly in delivery, Ford moves that customer's replacement order to the front of the line to fix that issue.

If you have the Preview Order sheet, it should be on there. If not, you should be able to get it from your dealer. You could probably get away with just telling them the Sales Code and Order Code and asking for an update on your order and the Priority Code.

If you placed your order online, you have fancier and more informative access to your order online and in FordPass. Not sure if that includes your Priority Code though. If not, you should be able to give the Ford Support Chat rep your order number and ask what your Priority Code is.

Have no idea. How do you find out what your priority code is?

Your dealer can send you a copy of the order confirmation from their system.

I'm sure you can ask your dealer; I just chatted with Ford with the chat feature, providing my Sales Code and Order Code. I then asked them if they had a priority code. She exclaimed happily that it was a 1! So you can ask online too if you have all your information.

Wishful thinking, but it would be interesting to know how many 2022 orders are left without build dates.

Mine got changed last week. I ordered a premium February 10th 2022. I was priority 10 and now is 01. I did the chat thing because the dealer is completely useless.

If you haven't, please select the first choice on the Poll. It's looking like a recent change to 01 is a safe assumption.

ok IDK I ordered it online and when trying to chat with the rep they said I need to talk to the dealer, I only have an order # which they do not need. Rep said to ask my dealer for the order and sales code. I wish the online system would have more info

@snowdoggie , after you get that information, you should be able to do the chat with Ford and they should be able to get you your priority code. When you do, please put it in the poll.

I also ordered mine through a dealer and emailed asking for my current priority code. Will report back. Since we're so close to the 23MY I'm actually hoping I don't get scheduled now to get a 23MY and change my paint color from grabber blue to the new vapor blue, assuming that's what this is (and that it doesn't cost extra).
