Well, aren’t you just a bundle of joyful news ? sigh… every one of my theories is being dashed. Seems like my car could be chosen by the giant claw as easily as any other ?
I believe that only those without frunk buttons are having the problem... ? :p?

Hey guys, I too experienced HVBJB failure on Saturday but was very close to a dealership and they were still open. I left the car at there and got it all written up and took a Lyft home. I am now on the phone asking @Ford Motor Company (1800-392-3673) to reimburse me for the Lyft ride home and the lady said they can't do that until after the car is diagnosed by the technician. I said the car was diagnosed today and HVBJB needs replacement, but she said that diagnoses came today and expense on Saturday so i cant be reimbursed. What a bunch of BS.

Update: after talking to someone in-the-know, the reimbursement will be honored after the car is returned to me.

Maybe flat along 101 or 880, but 280 up into Daly City from San Jose has plenty of elevation changes. As does 680 and 580. And 80 up to Vacaville from Oakland/Berkeley.
Thanks for the clarification of other things not in my commute... I didn't think to share all of them.

DevSecOps, thank you for sharing. Reading your saga turns my stomach. I wander with all you know now about your MMME GTPE if you still plan to keep it or you'll be looking to unload it. I love my GT but your story got me thinking. I too got the update at the dealer, but that may just be a false sense of comfort.
i can't wait for my Rivian R1T to get here soon enough, only been waiting 6 months.

I suggest you take this up their chain of command. That makes no sense @Ford Motor Company

Yeah, they wouldn’t reimburse me for the round trip from my office to home and back when the PF Support Agent told me to reset my PaaK eve though I told him multiple times I didn’t have my physical key. He insisted that I do it (“Just reset it”), then hung up when I asked him what to do next since I now had no PaaK and no key. I’m still pissed about that. ??

I’m heading to Colorado from the Midwest next week - over 900 miles. 2022 GTPE delivered in May. Recall software installed by dealer. Nervous about it, but not nervous enough to drive something else. Fingers crossed!
don't take a chance unless you are really prepared to endure some big inconvenience. i thought i was immune to the "Service Vehicle Soon" because i floored it a few times and raced and won against Charger Hellcat once, but the SVS appeared for me while driving on a highway and accelerating from 75 to 90 for a few secs.

I ended up getting COVID from my vacation/return trip as well and it's got me pretty f*cked up, so I'm in no hurry to get the car. I don't think the dealer will drag it's feet though.

They are actually working on it right now

Have you been following the Rivian forum? I have since before I joined this forum. Now that people have their R1T vehicles, there are lots of complaints, similar to what is posted about the MME. Complaints about PaaK not working. Complaints about poor service when there is a problem. I saw a post from someone who got the equivalent of Stop Safely Now. And complaints about exterior fit and finish. Vampire HVB drain. And Tonneau covers are breaking all over the place.

Anyway, I am a Rivian fan, and a MME fan. I just hope you don't think the quality of your Rivian is going to be better than your MME. You may be disappointed. Or maybe not, if you get a good one. Like my MME. It has been great.
