I have a ChargePoint Home Flex installed in my garage on a 50A breaker for 40A charging. My GT arrived this weekend and on my first charge from about 40% to 100% it charged at a rate of 9.3 kW until tapering off, as shown in the graph in the chargepoint app.

Next, I configured a charging location for home in the FordPass app and set the max charge level to 90%. On all subsequent charges, it's charging at a rate of 3.8 kW and I don't see any incorrect settings in the ChargePoint app or FordPass.

Has this happened to anyone else? I could delete the home location in the app to see if it reverts to faster charging. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Now the 50 amp breaker with 40amp charging would be around 9.3 kw cause I have the same charger but I hardwired mine with 60 amp breaker for the 48 amp charging and that gives me 10.83 kw of charging and when changed mine to 90% in the ford app I am still charging at 10.82 kw

Update - I called ChargePoint and they helped me reset the unit. Now I’m charging at a better rate - 9.4kW. Not sure why I don’t get the full 9.6 kW but it’s close enough for me.

Overall, my experience with ChargePoint support was positive. I didn’t have to go through too many choices to get to a live person and they are available 24/7. Hope these settings stick.

Some are due to losses and you may not see true 120/240; the charge rate is a function of volts times amps. While the amps will constant for the most part the voltage will vary (usually drop).

I see 11,250 even though I should get 11,520 - so your charging may vary.

The kW delivered are tied to amperage and volts. My house delivers 248 volts.

I have 60amp breaker hard wired set at 48amps. Does anyone have the process to resetting it. I want to drop it down for two reasons. First plugging everyday does not require hours of charging. Second and more importantly is set at 48 amps it draws more than my solar produces so it draws some from the grid when it’s sunny out causing losses with the meter spinning forward. My goal is to reduce to a point when it’s sunny out charging the meter still goes slowly in reverse not to pull from grid

if anyone knows the process of resetting please share

If you read the posts above yours, you'll see you need to call ChargePoint.

First thing the breaker needs to be change to lower amp breaker and that depends on much your wanting to slow it down. For 50 amp breaker will drop it to 40 amp charge and 40 amp breaker will bring down 32 amp charge and so on. Once you figure out what you want then go your app and home charge in app and set it

That is incorrect. There is no need to change the breaker. You do need to tell the CPHF that it is a smaller breaker so that it will reduce the amperage draw.

I have a JuiceBox 32 and learned how quickly the settings can be screwed up until you learn how things work. Documentation was inadequate.

I was using minimum charge and charging was stopping early. I found out that 10 kWh minimum charge meant only add a 10 kWh charge total.

issue is the app does not allow me to change it since it was first setup that’s my issue

That is incorrect. There is no need to change the breaker. You do need to tell the CPHF that it is a smaller breaker so that it will reduce the amperage draw.
This is the way.

I called ChargePoint you do need to drop the breaker size down first and then call ChargePoint and they have to change the amperage on their end. If you don't he said it will keep kicking out the charger
