I'll send you my pillow for fill removal if you agree to send me the video of you on your front porch rocking chair sewing it back together. Deal?
I have a Sleepgram pillow. It was designed so that parts of. It’s fill could be removed without need for surgery. ??

These looked interesting so I ordered one. Quite expensive for a king at $160. And jeeezus 13lbs! But the curiosity got the better of me. I went with Hullo after some quick research and because it can be returned. My concern is they say best for side and back sleepers, which I am neither.
Yes, you definitely want a buckwheat pillow if you enter a competitive pillow fight competition. Hope it works for you!

Curious, all this pillow talk because it’s taking so long for your repairs.

First and foremost: Thank you @DevSecOps for taking the time to share this story to the rest of the class.

With my Job 1 car, I've made three East Bay -> LA round trips since May 2021 on my Premium RWD Extended battery. The fact I've managed six passes through the Tejon makes me feel like I've dodged the bullets.

It certainly brings me pause for when I do the trip again. What service centers in the LA area should I have saved for future reference?

There's a driver behind a wheel, and a desired speed... The throttle response ends up being the same because you either push a smaller or larger amount into the accelerator pedal to get your desired "throttle."

To say it another way, if you mash the go pedal to the floor, the power output to the motors is the same across all modes.

If you mash the brake pedal to the floor, the amount of deceleration is also the same across all modes.
True, but you could moderate or have more forgiveness/be less precise with throttle increase with the whisper and engaged modes easier than you could with unbridled . The throttle response is definitely different, unless you slam the pedals to the floor at all times.

It's about power draw. It has nothing to do with drive modes. End of story. Driving on whisper will not make any difference in HVBJB failure. As a matter of fact, Scoopman, on the exact same mountain pass was driving in whisper when his went out. There's nothing, zero, zilch, nada that whisper does to reduce power draw over any other mode.

@TheSeg the aforementioned also applies a little to you. You have an RWD vehicle so therefore you draw 1/2 of the power through the HVBJB as someone with an AWD or GT version of the car. The likelihood of an HVBJB failure on RWD is probably something close to 0.1%. I wouldn't stress it much with RWD. Also, LA is a huge area with probably close to 100 dealers. If you ever did have failure just ask to ensure that they are EV certified.

I wasn't disagreeing with you regarding if that has any impact on the HVBJB issue. I was only referencing the differences in drive modes regarding your statement that I quoted. Rereading your statement, I realized that I did not catch your intention. My mistake. I fully agree with your statement.

Sounds like we need to make a thread of dealers who “know what theyre actually doing”… “have appropriate staffing” … “have done a replacement”…

Sorry, lots of posts to read here and the pillow talk put me to sleep. I don't know if this was answered.
Has the issue been resolved on new builds?

Any MME built after May 25, 2022, has the updated HVBJB installed.

The real question is if the updated part is the answer. I had a HVBJB failure in May at 6,000 miles and I am now close to 12,000 miles and the service vehicle soon message came on yesterday with the HVBJB error codes added by the latest recall. In May I allegedly received the updated part so time will tell if I now have the same failure with the updated part. Right now it is just too early to tell.

I have already given DevSecOps the information, including the previous repair order showing the parts used so I know I am in good hands. He and the others on this board have been beyond awesome helping a lot of us out when it comes to problems. Once I know a little more this week I will start a new thread documenting the repair just like I did the first time around.

Thanks, great info. Mine was built last month and set to deliver in 1-2 weeks. I'm having a lot of second thoughts and anxiety. I'm starting think EV's are a few years away from not having issues.

Even given my experience, I would do it again in a heartbeat and I do not have second thoughts or anxiety about driving the car.

For me, MME has been a game changer. It has the performance I want, is comfortable to drive, does not have the routine maintenance and mechanical problems that comes with ICE, is easy to charge at home (and for a lot less than gas), and allows you to precondition the car before your departure.

The problems you see here will eventually be solved. Even if you do run into problems the help from forum members here and Ford corporate really help to relieve a lot of the fear and anxiety, at least for me it has.

Thanks for the optimism. Great thing for me I am not taking long trips and I have other vehicles. I am going talk to the master tech at the dealership this weekend to get a feel for what they are seeing and solving.
