“Private offer” anyone?

Logic: cancel my select aka Ford doesn’t make the car thus saving the components. Let me order a different model, and they get a sale. Win win. Why is this not a thing?

Shouldn’t people wait to see what the “fine print” actually is before freaking out?

Lots of anger/frustration here but it doesn’t seem like we have all the info.

Then again, freaking out with minimal information is what keeps the internet interesting. ?

Nope. So now new orders are piling up? Do we place a new order if we don’t want the stripped select?
Supposedly, all vehicles were supposed to get placed into hold (99) until you accept the change, then it would go back to it's place in line (01/10/19 etc...). It seems though that many orders were just sent through without approval. (ADM's for Dealers after you don't accept it). If you make a change like to another model, it's a new order and you get back in line from day 1.

selects with tech/comfort should have a shot at being upgraded to standard prem’s. Taking away features is a bad look
It's frustrating. At this point I just want Ford (or my dealership) to directly tell me what's happening without bull. I can't get a clear answer.

Completely disagree. This is all Ford. Ford controls the rollout and the information. We should be freaking out. This is a mess!

Start with the video of the Ford dealer telling how it's going to work. Long McCarthur put a lot of great info in the video.

I know we live in Amazon prime immediate delivery world now……. But give them time.

What’s the rush exactly? It’s August and none of these converted orders will be delivered until 2023. You have PLENTY of time to digest the info and make a decision. All the way until the car gets delivered and even then you can change your mind.

I just don’t think it’s worth getting upset……….yet.

Once we have all the info and the situation sucks…. Yeah then it’s anger time!

My gut says “Ford will make it right” when it comes to price and options. They made it right when this exact same thing happened last year. They even cut off new orders months ago to try to prevent as many year conversions. Obviously didn’t work. Try again next year!

The only "official" information that's been sent so far AFAIK is this:
22MY to 23MY Model Year Change Over (“MYCO”) Retail Customer Orders
If a customer had a 22MY order that did not get scheduled, to preserve the order, Ford will automatically convert the order to a 23MY order in the closest possible specification on 99 priority code in WBDO. PLEASE DO NOT enter a new order. The converted order will be reflected in WBDO by COB on August 29th. Please contact your customers to discuss order details and take the existing order off of 99 priority code. Please also inform your customers that after they agree to convert their order, we will make every effort to prioritize the order. Note that due to product offering changes, it might not be possible for all 22MY orders to get converted to identical 23MY orders. To assist with identifying these customers, a list will be provided to your regional representative.

23MY Mustang Mach-E Transition Customer Satisfaction Private Offer
Any current 22MY Mustang Mach-E retail customer order that is converted to a 23MY order via MYCO process will be eligible for a 23MY Mustang Mach-E Transition Private Offer, which is intended to offset 23MY MSRP price changes. C&I program details regarding this Private Offer will be released post-22MY balance out. For those customers who planned to use X-Plan on their 22MY order, we will have an exception process in place to allow the use of X-Plan on 23MY. This exception process will be dependent on the customer being eligible for the 23MY Mustang Mach-E Transition Customer Satisfaction Private Offer. Dealers should order as A or Z plan to display X- Plan pricing for “X-Plan alternative program” customers.

The most relevant part is this:
C&I program details regarding this Private Offer will be released post-22MY balance out.
It sounds like that hasn't happened yet, and until it does, everything is just speculation.

Besides the options removal issues, many people were expecting to see the car they ordered early this year to get the full $7500 tax credit. So the cars need to be delivered sooner to secure that. Next year tax credits still are not clear how much it will be.

They wanted to balance out '22 MY and calculate their finances before deciding how much money to give out for the private offers. Balance out only happened last week so they might need a few days. I feel like the pot is a fixed size and they are determining how many ways it has to be divided based on remaining unscheduled orders. Yes they should have sent it out by now, but I think it is expected to be announced by the end of this week.
I am going to have to wait to see what they offer for my 2022 Select w/ CT order.

Really not happy with @Ford Motor Company if I can't get the Ford Options rate & incentive that I locked in on April if I am forced into a 2023.

Some of us need cars because leases are due etc. This isn't a realistic sales model to have someone take months to deliver a car then change the car. Why not just build all the 2022 models then switch to 2023.
Our BMW i4 was built and delivered in 3 months from Germany... and Ford can't deliver within North America within 7+ months, good luck with that sales model.
