I’m not sure why Ford and dealers have different systems.
For my MME, Ford has no update since 8/23. My dealer had a update on 9/9 but now their system doesn’t even have my VIN anymore… so as of today no one knows where the car is at.

Mine got to the Mexico rail yard Aug 26th then disappeared into the abyss. All the VVR reflects is the last known status "awaiting transport", but that was 3.5 weeks ago and 3 weeks of builds have shipped since then. Also it occasionally won't even populate the VIN.

Ford (dealer and corporate) are zero help, say the VVR is likely inaccurate and just parrot the expected delivery time, followed by an immediate hedge that it may change (since if it's correct, getting from Mexico to my dealer in the <1 week remaining is unlikely).

What I don't get is the car literally has an always-on modem w/ GPS. Why they can't just ping it is beyond me.

It's not even the terrible logistics that fries me, it's the "sucks to be you, I'm not doing anything to help other than pulling the VVR" mentality. I have a lot of stuff going on in my life this fall, and am trying to manage my schedule to be available when delivery happens, but Ford refuses to help.

Also @Bigfeets, you've been a hero in this forum, sorry you're in the void with the rest of us.
Haha, one void is like another. Nine months between "order" and "built" was the worst void for a lot of people, I think. I twiddled my thumbs on this forum for much of it. For me, the delivery "void" has just begun. I have no "shipped" notification, yet. However, by checking online inventory of "my dealer" that they have included my "built but not shipped" MME on their website as "high demand" and "in transit". That's a form of "communication, right?

@Bigfeets that's actually the part that fries me the most. I have the opposite thought process.

I could understand supply chain disruption making the cars take a lot longer to produce with uncertainty as to a good build date. But to have this level of buffoonery after the car is produced is terrible logistics mixed with some of the worst customer service I've seen in decades.

I understand that Ford doesn't do the logistics itself, but it is responsible for whom it contracts. If I wasn't able to provide the exact location of a user's item with an anticipated get well date on demand, I'd be fired.

The fact that Ford accepts weeks old data points and refuses to advocate for their customers with their carrier is terrible customer service.

This! A thousand times.

My frustration at the delays to my build date were one thing. My hair-pulling anxiety at knowing my car is built, and exists somewhere, but nobody can tell me when I'll actually get it or why it's taking so long is another... on a product that has GPS built into it!!

You'd think that after 3-4 weeks of no logistics update and no visibility on a product this expensive, you'd be able to escalate and get some help. Apparently not.

Once shipped, just try not to think about it or try and track it. Your mental health will be better :)
It took almost 2 months to get to me after it was built.

"Built" and "awaiting transport" for almost a month. Shipped would be an improvement ?

Ouch. I was lucky enough that built went to shipped in only a few days. Best of luck!

If they allowed up to pick up at factory and road trip it back I would be down with that. Saves on the delivery fee too
