So for the second time in a row I woke up to a 100% charged battery, even though I have my home charging set to 90% on FordPass and in the car. I had it on a schedule, but recent changed it to “charge when plugged in”

That happened to me the first time I set a charging schedule but since then it has been charging to 90% as set up in Fordpass.

You can edit the thread title to include (problem solved).

Why does Ford keep changing the App for the charge settings? I came home today and started charging, went into the house to check the status and BOOM! The charging is set to charge to 100% after being set to 90% 2 weeks ago. They (FOPRD) recommends that we only charge to 90% and then THEY (FORD) sets the default charging to 100% WTF?????

Two (2) Weeks ago:

NOW:

I DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING (yes, I know I am yelling and i mean to yell)

Ford, get your S**T together. Every time the app or the car is updated default setting are changed or disappear.

Charging Location screen from 2022-07-25:

Similar Screen from today, 2022-09-08:

The other part of setting the Charge Level is now the Minumum Charge Level and not the Maximum Charge Level as before. WHY???

Yes, I am frustrated. Figure out what the app is supposed to do and then then DO IT.

Edit 2022-09-08 18:22 MDT - Edited screenshots with address

First of all... don't dox yourself. I would remove your address from those pictures.

Second, are you sure you didn't hit the charge to 100% button on accident?

Thanks for the reminder about the address. I will try to correct it.

I am positive I did not hut the 100% button because when I opened the app it already showed charging to 100% instead of 90%.

Again thanks for the catch.

Well, it happened again. I plugged the car in last night (09/20/22) and as per my usual method I did a screenshot of the Ford Pass App showing the charge status. The app shows Target charge level of 100%.

I was pretty sure that I had verified the max level to 90%, so I checked the settings for charging and it shows target charge level of 90%

I've had this happen one time (outside of updates that delete the settings).

I'm pretty sure it was a Fordpass issue with the GPS location of my vehicle, as the app inexplicably showed my vehicle location about a half mile from my house when it happened. Thus, my car didn't think it was charging at "home" and topped the battery off.

I have not moved the car since then and I just checked the Map tab in Ford Pass and it has the car in the correct place.

Another quirk is that about 15 minutes AFTER I unplug I get a message that an "ACCIDENTAL UNPLUG" has occurred. Any ideas / suggestions?

SSDD - Same Sh!t Different Day.

OK, so I went to charge my car again today. The settings remain the same
MAXCHARGE LEVEL 90%
LOCATION Home (deleted and re-entered after last charge)
Address is correct

Plugged the car in and checked the app. Target Charge Level is 100%

Have you tried creating a schedule? The "Anytime" option has been problematic in the past. Set it for a 23 hour window.
If you are purposely discharging your battery that much between charges you may want to look into the depth of discharge research and decide if you want to continue that practice.

I will look into the scheduling function. I had it setup originally but it go deleted in one of the updates.

My practice has always been drive to 20-20% and then charge to 90% except for the very few times I do DCFC.

Here’s a thought. Today’s Saturday, right? Did you try tapping the “Weekends” tab? All of your screen shots show “Weekdays” selected.
