Looking forward to these. I forgot I ordered them ?

Nothing has shipped yet. I talked to Kevin last week and all parts were being anodized all colors. I think I mentioned this before but if it was just one or two colors things would have gone a bit faster but he has actually gotten over 200 orders and most were complete 4 piece sets and some members ordered multiple colors for various reasons. The copper/bronze color was held up for two weeks because I could not get him the interior parts to match it as quickly as I wanted but all is done with that now. When he starts shipping, he wants to send all orders and colors out around the same time and not just one color at a time. There are a lot of logistics with this project and he is moving as fast as he can.
I have gotten quite a few members asking me this same question in the last week or so and I know we are all anxious for these to ship but just need to be patient and wait a bit longer. ?
Wait for the Andriod Automtive OS to go live on the MME before trading in for a new MME. Why abandon early adopter status?I’m thinking the exact same thing about a trade!
I got all excited a few days ago. Postal Service sneak peek said a package from London arrived. Rush up to the mailbox, in my MME of course (they're a mile away guys, all uphill) to get my shiny new MME knobs and button covers and ... nope a silly box from Scotland that I had ordered for my wife's Birthday. AOSK is producing a somewhat different product. There's plenty of room for both in the growing Mach-e market (and if you're following the Chevy borrowed the MME knobs thread, there too. They have them cheaper here. I got a set for free to try out and they are great. https://ev-vida.store/products/mach...-gear-shift-switch-knob-metal-cover-from-aosk
The only update I can give you is the anodizing process is taking longer than expected. They were supposed to be mostly done by the middle of this month but are still there. When this project started, there were about 50 people interested and that has now grown to over 300 at this point. While you can quickly and easily paint these aluminum covers, that doesn't give them the satin look and smooth feel, not to mention the durability. Plus there are 6 colors being anodized including the special copper bronze color that quite a few people ordered which took several weeks to get closely matched to the interior trim of the GT. The shop doing the anodizing for Kevin is small so I don't think they move all that fast. ?Any updates?![]()
I just saw that too. I'm sadNoticed the 5 Spurs website was updated as follows for the items we’re waiting for: “Expected release date is 30th Nov 2022.”
Yes I'm not happy this either. I left Kevin a message this morning and will report back when I get his reply.I just saw that too. I'm sad![]()
Yeah, feel like this could have been handled in a better way if it is in fact true. I would have appreciated an email explaining there was a delay, rather than just changing it on the site and not telling anyone that ordered the product already. A little communication goes a long way.Yes I'm not happy this either. I left Kevin a message this morning and will report back when I get his reply.
Agreed. I somewhat see where he's coming from when he says he's wanting to wait to ship until he has all the colors done, but that also doesn't really make sense. Like, ship what you got! That's common for staged releases... especially with all the color options and having hundreds of orders to now ship, logistically smarter to send as they're ready.Yeah, feel like this could have been handled in a better way if it is in fact true. I'm disappointed too. I suggested to Kevin that he send an email to folks awaiting shipment, but I guess he decided not to. ?Yeah, feel like this could have been handled in a better way if it is in fact true.
