all these updates are great - but am i the only person that remembered Farley talking all that smack about how there would be a "major" update coming at the end of this year?

Are these updates that?
No, it hasn’t come yet. Is it the end of the year?

E-Heat button, on the main screen! It is coming! Or not, if they suck.

Are we sure? That Mach-e and Lightning infotainment seems to be pretty matched right now (for those fully up to date). Maybe the BIG update was just the A/C button, Alexa, and YouTube...

Yes, there is more coming, possibly next year. Others have confirmed on here who know.

Big changes. Like a E-Heat button on the main screen. Yes! I can feel it.

I'm not seeing this update for my car, I updated it previously with FDRS so might not be anything new past TSB 22-2182 that was released last May? The CSP 22B28 mentioned also doesn't officially exist yet. Although some people have seen a new HVAC update show up in FDRS today.

Since the HVAC update, I have noticed issues with the A/C not ramping up enough when the exterior temp is above about 90ºF. When it gets above that temp, I have to lower my normal temp set point by up to 4ºF to keep the same interior temp. This seems like a calibration mistake. Curious what others in hot climates experience after the update.

Heat has been fine so far, but really hasn't been colder than 25ºF here yet.

You hit it on the nose! I had the same issue with my A/C in high temps not performing. Have it set to 70, car is like a sauna, and nothing on auto. Even going auto 3, barely any air. Dropped to 66, sometimes 68, lots and lots of coool air at auto 1 again. Thought something weird was going on.

Mine had the previously latest HVAC update and still got this one today. I shall see how it performs on the A/C side (dealer is saying it fixed the heat…).

I had the TSB done over the summer and got the HVAC updated. If you want to run my VIN we can see if it shows up on my car.

My number one complaint about the Mach E here in Alaska - the way the car will pull in cold air in max defrost and at high fan speeds. I hope this solves it. If I don't get this OTA, I may have to get a 2 day FDRS license. It's supposed to be -14F next week.

I don't have 3.6.1 yet. But I've not noticed any substantial change to set point operation since I took delivery in March 2021. (I have noticed changes to recirc mode, though. It no longer turns off by itself after a few minutes like it used to.)

On hot days, with a sun baked car and high sun load while driving, I need to significantly reduce the set point (sometimes more than 4 degrees) to get enough cool air flow in the cabin. Otherwise, even at Auto-3, the fan speed stays too low.

On hot days but where the car was garaged before driving (therefore, not sun baked), with high sun load while driving, the system seems to perform reasonably well. I will often still end up knocking down the set point, but only by a degree or two and maybe during the drive I'll eventually raise it back up.

With low sun load (i.e. at night), then the AC feels really cold even though our outdoor temps can remain quite high, and I'll raise the set point back where it should be or even higher.

My theory is that a lot of the hvac cooling is being diverted to the batteries or other electronics. But I don't really know. It's just my guess. Partly I'm guessing this because on very hot days (e.g. 115F) if the car's been parked in the sun for hours and I decide to drive down the temp set point to get the fan speed to come up, then I'm more likely to get the condition where I lose all drive modes until the next key cycle.
