Well, we do of course. Why test stuff in house when you can let your customers test it for you?
:)
Like we used to (and, I guess, still) say about Microsoft: We call them "users", MS calls them "beta testers".

I mean, it’s so logical that you should have to have another profile to fix the profile problem. Don’t know why I didn’t think of it.
I haven’t had this problem come back even once after deleting/unlinking my phone from my profile and then adding it back. It’s been a month now or so with no further issue.

You turned off the my predicted trips or whatever it is that tries to auto route you?
Not yet, but now I will.

Nor have I sat down in a comfy chair with a roaring fire and a brandy snifter to read the whole 500+ page manual. Or have searched it for "Why does Ford Nav start telling me where to get off (so to speak)?". That second one might have been a pretty good idea (e.g., this is a feature, not a bug).

EDIT: Just got notified we got 3.5.4.2. ?

Anyones Bluetooth/carplay audio disconnect when they reach a certain location? Ie my parking lot every time
Hah. Specifically ONLY within a one block stretch of road nearing the Costco I frequent. I don’t know what it is, but CarPlay will drop hard RIGHT THERE and then come back 500 feet later. Definitely something that cause interference.

I have read numerous issues from people who have had problems with deleting and unlinking that I am paranoid, Ford Phobia is what I have

thanks for the update

I feel ya. Worked for me, but understood…everyone’s mileage seems to vary around here! :)

Can't blame you. But, last night after our "rename your phone in the phone" epiphany, I removed and added my phone a few times (one time because a prompt on one of the screens -- Ford or Android, don't recall -- went away before I could deal with it). After the last one, everything was good.

Will they be next time I get in the car? We shall see.

Is deleting and then unlinking two separate acts, meaning delete phone and then unlink PAAk or revere?

I have terrible PAAK issues since 3.5.4 that I just today realized only happen when I have my Bluetooth AirPods connected to my phone. Usually I’m on a work/teams call when that happens and it won’t unlock my car for a long time or allow my phone to connect to CarPlay unless I disconnect my headphones and/or end the call.

PAAK and CarPlay connects pretty reliably and quickly if I don’t have my headphones in ??ā€ā™‚

Doing OK. Speaking of staying safe, between getting the car and now, I did manage to get Covid (5 vaccination shots ain't enough, it appears). All good now, however (and flu shot in place, too).

Hope you're doing as good as that or better.

Have to wait 'til I get to drive the car (tonight, likely) to see if there are any notable (or notorious) changes in 3.5.4.2. ?

Today Carplay connected just fine for me, but on the third leg of my drive I finally got the profile issue, it went to guest and would not let me select my profile, or my wife's profile. Then I noticed the GPS was in the wrong city, checked the satellite status when I got home and all the signals were lost, the nav was showing me driving about 10 miles away.

So many of these issues never seem to get fixed, they just keep randomly occurring.

Yes.
A few days ago my phone stopped connecting automatically when I enter the car. I have been touching the phone card to bring up the phone list and then select my phone. That worked up until today and now it won't connect at all. Well, it will connect manually but as soon as I try to make a phone call it drops the bluetooth connection to the car.

I am pretty sure this is the worst update that we have suffered through so far to date. Well, there was that one update to FP that disabled PaaK and the backup start codes. That was pretty bad too.

I went into my profile and removed the linked phone. Trying to remember now, but then I think I just did the re-linking procedure without deleting PAAK from FordPass. HOWEVER, I do remember deleting PAAK from FordPass when I upgraded to a new iPhone, so now I’m wondering if I might have done it there too. I’d just try unlinking the phone from the profile first and then see what happens when you add it back.
