11/7/22 Build Week Thread for 2023 MME's

For those that are waiting for a car to be delivered to Morgan Hill Ford, today my dealer told me the car is on its way to Richmond and he will inform me when it get to Richmond. Earlier Ford Chat said the car will be delivered no later than Dec 15th.

That was the info I received last Friday as well. Do be careful though. Louie advised that sometimes cars sit in Richmond for 2 weeks.

I think I put it at 7. I don't have any of those BNSF entries. The only commonality is the "Estimated Delivery (AG)" entry at 6M. Yours was almost exactly 7 days ahead of mine. What was the latest "Intelligent" ETA for you again?

the last intelligent ETA i saw was 12/11 at 11:24AM, but this was on 11/28. he didn't send me the text message for the 12/1 update.

VINView shows my car on a county road in the middle of nowhere on Saturday, not on a UP line. There is nothing which shows departure from KC. Ford Chat told me yesterday it was still in KC. The VV update is via Connected Car. What in blazes…

Gotcha, that would have been nice to see if it had changed. Certainly seems to me that your car is enroute, is that how you're interpreting the entries?

at first yes, but after calling FC yesterday and getting Argentine as a current location, i'm not so sure. maybe there wouldn't be an update until the train reaches richmond.

all i know is that i haven't seen a 2023 MME on united road yet.

I have read instances on some of the October build threads in which FC had no new information beyond that point, but their dealers suddenly called them to say that their car had arrived. It seems that there is a bit of a black hole for FC after it leaves KC. Let's hope that is the case for you and I'm just a week behind.

Well, the BNSF line does go right by there. Weird that there is no KC departure. Strange to get Connected Car too, I didn’t think that worked before activation?

There are numerous cases throughout this forum of people getting lucky enough to have someone push through the activation inside their cars at various points in the delivery process.

How do they get the Ford Pass App to even allow them to request their not yet delivered car's Activation?

Mine, recently downloaded and the latest version tells me that I can't request the activation because the car hasn't been delivered, it's obvious that it's the app blocking it and it doesn't even send it upstream yo Ford.

I tried several times over several weeks.

I've had the "Activation Pending" status screen two different times during my car's month-long (so far and counting) existence and journey to CA. I have it right now. If someone would just complete the process in my car, I'd have my own tracking. ?‍

Perhaps they rolled out an app update that blocks attempts to do it, but you have the older version of the app?

Nope, don't think so. I got that exact screen after my first instance of "Activation Pending" after about a week. Then a week or so later, I was able to restart the process. Currently "Activation Pending" again.
