I wanted to save this until someone from Sweden, or Europe in general, was to receive their car. But as you can see from my behavior over this last year, I'm no good at waiting.
I've never been that calm while waiting was the hardest part, of anything.
I would consider stage 2 to be the length of time the finished car sits at the plant prior to shipping, stage 3 to start when transportation begins, and stage 4 to include the time between arrival at your dealer and the dealer having it ready/willing to deliver. Consider the possibility that your car arrives at your dealer on a Friday. On Monday they start prepping all the cars that arrived Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Monday--Wednesday likely delivery available day.
Ah but once enroute I'm going to e-mail my sales person indicating I want the car ASAP: Prep it as quick as possible and don't bother charging it. Hopefully my "stage 4" will be a matter of hours.

once they tell me it's coming I'm going to be the same way. Don't wash it, don't charge it, don't do sh*t - hand me the keyfobs, I'll sign what I have to sign, then we're done.
