Have any of you noticed after they installed the new HVBJB there's a reduction of power on the GT? I'm seeing the gray bars reduction power more often than before.

No, it is in your head. There will inherently be more gray bars now due to the cold weather.

Still waiting for news on the part after 25 days. I got the BEV team involved the day it happened. They put the COPIS order through about 22 days ago. I'm being told that the part hasn't shipped yet because of low supply...

Supply chain excuse?
The part can be overnighted.
Dealership?

Odd question but by “they put the COPIS order through” you are referring to the dealership - correct?

So it happened to me. Got the "Service soon" popup in the car, and the app says "Powertrain malfunction/reduced power" and "High Voltage Battery Warning"

The car is still drivable. Need to make an appointment with the dealer. I need to reach out to the BEV team as well

Ughh. timing is never great, but I expected it at some point.

Hi there! If you are able to send us a private message with your VIN and dealership information, I can look into things on my end.

I charged to 100% yesterday on the mobile charger plugged into a 208v outlet. Drove around 120 miles at 80mph before getting a service message. Power meter showed bars blocking out 60% of power. I assumed it was the dreaded HVBJB failure and it was welded open, which allowed me to continue driving. I pulled up my obd scanner app and the code referenced a battery contractor. I got to my house and pulled in the garage. I used the obd scanner to clear the code. I power cycled the car and the service code didn't return. I charged overnight on L2 to 90% and drove to work today with no issues. Has anyone had any experiences like this?

Yes that’s correct. The dealership needs to put the part order through a high priority system that they use called COPIS. If they order in the normal way instead of COPIS, the part will appear to be pretty much permanently back ordered. COPIS get you priority treatment but if there aren’t any available it will still take a while. The BEV team verified that the order was placed in the COPIS system by the dealership, so for now it’s just a waiting game…

I assume you got "Service Vehicle Soon"? You should not have cleared the code, and instead should have taken it to your preferred Ford service center so they could confirm the error and order your new HVBJB. I think they can still validate you had the code, but it would have been a lot easier for you if the code was still there for them to see.

There have been multiple complaints about how the code can be cleared, because it should be persistent until the problem is resolved. Clearing the code just delays the inevitable from what we know. The next time you may get "Stop Safely Now", in which case you will be stranded and need a tow. I would get your car to the dealer ASAP before that happens.

According to my rep on the BEV team, it’s been properly ordered. She claims that there’s no way to further expedite it…

Yes I understand that. Just seems odd as in most reported events a COPIS order arrives fairly quickly. So just wanted to make sure you had checked in with dealer and not just the BEV Team.

Mine said the same thing. Part was ordered through COPIS on 12/2, and per my dealer is scheduled to arrive there tomorrow 12/13. Fingers crossed.

Hmm… Pretty fishy that I can’t get a tracking number and you’re receiving yours tomorrow. I didn’t need to rent a car. I guess I’ll start bugging Ford about reimbursement for my car payment to help motivate?

The BEV rep told me she couldn't track the part, it is direct shipped to the dealer. She didn't give me the tracking number. I have been calling my dealer for status, and after a week of no news, today they told me they got word that the part is scheduled to arrive tomorrow 12/13. Definitely request rental reimbursement from your BEV rep, my rep was the one who got us approval for reimbursement.

EDIT: Sorry I misread - you don't need a rental, but I've seen others post that after 30 days Ford will reimburse payments for Ford Motor Credit, so do ask your BEV rep about that!!
