Edit: and the physical button works when the car and displays are off, which is MUCH more useful than a button on the display. At least for me. That physical hatch button is my second favorite mod. My favorite mod is the Steeda away bars.

Wow, I'd love to have a one click camera button! But I don't know if my car won't get updates, or just haven't gotten any yet. I've had a 2022 GTPE since Oct, and I've never gotten any updates. Is this something I should be concerned with or just wait it out?

It took around 2 and a 1/2 hours with FDRS but I now have the latest update as well.

Looks like there are a couple games I don't remember being there before.

I have not had time to poke around at all.

One thing I did notice is that CarPlay seems to connect very quickly. I know it would connect quickly sometimes on the 3.x.x. series but I had to turn the car off and on a bunch of times after the APIM update for the other updates and CarPlay connected every time in less than 10 seconds after the car was turned on. Hopefully it stays that way.

Not sure if anyone has remarked on this, but the one-tap camera button was ABSENT from the screens in the promotional materials just a few weeks ago. Appears that we complained, extensively, and it was added that quickly. Relatively “on the fly,” by Ford standards. Not sure why they didn’t do the same for the rear hatch.

It‘s absent from the version coming on 2023 cars as well. But I don’t think Ford whips anything together in just a few weeks.

I'm in a definte minority here, but I have zero issues with where it's currently located and how we access it. There are no situations where you can't stop for the 3 seconds it takes to call the camera up and then continue along.

It does! Thanks for the video - it looks like the display/system is ready to go within 2 seconds. Mine is 7-8 seconds of animations, booting, thinking, whatever till it's ready for input. And it was even slower a few weeks ago before some previous software improvements.

The camera button is definitely nice, but if the UI response times really are that much faster, that's even better.

Exactly. Before, it was a mix of noun or verb (whisper) with two adjectives (engaged, unbridled). Now at least they can all be verbs so there is consistency.

Huh. I never really understood how those "cards" worked - they seemed to just appear and disappear at random as I poked around the display looking for stuff (mainly just my favorite radio station). Inspired by this discussion, I took a couple minutes and figured out how the interface works. Probably should have done that a year ago ...

It is kind of nice having the larger sized cards. But I don't see anything on them that I care much about. On balance, the new interface looks like an improvement. I'll probably accept it someday.

Engaged and unbridled are both verbs, using the past tense, while whisper is a present-tense verb. That was the inconsistency - tense.

But you are right that engaged and unbridled can also be used as adjectives.
