Anyone gotten handsfree BlueCruise to work on their 2023 Mach-E yet?

$1900 for 3 years, according to Ford
Thatā€˜s because you’re also paying a one-time fee to unlock the hardware on a Select. That’s new for 2023. Prior to that, Selects just didn’t come with the hardware if you didn’t pay for it.

For what it’s worth, I won’t be paying the $600 for 3 years when my free year is up. It works fine through my sunglasses, but not worth the money to me.

Haha, burn. Don't expect any apologies from people on here who speak out of their ass with great authority.

I was able to get blue cruise to work today in my ā€˜23. After trying everything Ford recommended, verifying my maps were up to date, I still had no expiration dates listed on Ford pass. Under the connected services in the menu nothing would show up and if you click the info icon it says check connective and privacy settings.
I did a master reset and made sure I gave permission to Ford under the privacy settings during initial setup. Immediately expiration dates filled in on Ford pass app, bluecruise initiated immediately on highway. I think I chose to not share information with Ford the first time and it locked me out of connecting services.

@NitePonyGTPE: Were your maps up to date prior to the master reset? My car was shipped from factory with out of date maps. I have expiration dates on my connected car services but my HF blue cruise does not work. Just curious about your maps prior to doing a master reset on Sync.

My maps were good until 4/2023 from the factory

Thanks for information. I'm not sure a master reset will fix mine. May have to take it to dealer to have GWM manually updated.

To get OTA updates, vehicle must be connected to external wifi, e-brake set, charged at 80% or higher, and the vehicle must have been driven 30 minutes prior to scheduled update (so drive the car at 11:31 pm if the update is scheduled for midnight).

Alternately, I could bring the car into a dealer for updated BlueCruise maps. There's a customer satisfaction bulletin, TSB 22 2105.
Those requirements aren’t correct. The only requirements are AT&T LTE coverage and the 12V battery is at >80%. When I have an update available, I drive the car to charge the 12V, park it, hit the update button, and go inside. They usually finish 10 minutes later. I’ve gotten OTAs while not connected to WiFi and with the parking brake off.

If some of you turned things off because of privacy concerns, that could also be why maps haven’t updated. After a master reset, leave the connectivity, data sharing, and privacy settings as default. Some or all of those settings are required to get updates.

I suggest just driving the car frequently so it checks for updates. For some of you that only drive a couple times a week it could take a while. The car does not check for updates unless driven, it will not happen while parked.

$1900 for 3yrs, $633.33 per year.

And cool, didn't work with sunglasses for me, and others have posted about it not working with sunglasses for them, but ok.
Use non-reflective sunglasses. The eye nanny cannot see thru reflective sunglasses.

Just repeating what the Ford OTA update team shared me.

I’ve driven the car almost daily since I got it and racked over 500 miles. Never made any changes to privacy settings. No updated BlueCruise maps available OTA. I’ll schedule a service appointment for manual updates when I return to town.

I got 3 years from date of purchase for my GTPE. If you do a lot of long trips, it may be worth it too. For me commuting back and forth to work, I won’t get to use it much. Hopefully in 3 years it will get better, and I’ll evaluate then.

Thats’s because they built the $600 cost into the price of your car. Those of us that bought our cars before BC was available paid $600 less for the car and got 1 year of BC for free when it was finally available.

Ive had my GT for 4 days, no BC yet, I can’t take it to the dealer because they are 5 hours away. I don’t know if I should give the master reset a shot? I still also have no expiration dates listed on my services.

In your account at ford.com, check on your Connected Services.
I picked up my car Friday. ford.com says my BC trial expiration date is --/--/---- and the info button next to it say it can take 1-4 days to be processed.

Interestingly, in the car my display says "Hands-free driving mode available through 10-12-2022". I'm not sure just when this car was built but assuming that's December 10, I believe it was still in Mexico at the time of "expiration".

Same here. "Hands-free driving mode available through 10-12-2022." My car was built after that date. My Ford account shows BC active for the next 3 years. Does anybody have a fix? Do I just have to wait for a map update?
