I'm not a pickup guy so it's not for me.

But it gives me Cybertruck vibes if they took away all the doofy "make it look like a badly rendered PlayStation 2 truck". But it has similar-ish lines. And I don't mean that in a bad way. It like took the better aspects of the CT and actually turned it into something that looks good and functional.

Meh, want to make waves, make a standard cab with only a full bench seat and a long bed. Make it work like a mule and cut the cost as much as possible. Snap up every fleet sale out there.

No mention of target range. Meh. Unless we start getting 500+ mile range BEVs, I am sticking with my MME. Still an awesome vehicle. And it is actually available to buy today. Not in 2029. Or whatever.

Let's see if they can get it into production in less time than the cybertruck. Hell, the Mach-E was redesigned from scratch the same year the CT was "announced" and will have been on the market for 3 years before the technotwit's homage to doc brown hits the streets.

It’s exciting, but I don’t need a truck. If I need to do truck stuff (which is so rare) I’ll rent one. To be honest, I think the future of EVs will be efficient, smaller vehicles, not inefficient behemoths like this. What’s the over under that this makes it to market in significant numbers before the CyberTruck?

Right. Jack on Fully Charged did a great run down on nearly every BEV from every country that will be available this year. Stellantis was nowhere to be seen.

All the effort into fully electric trucks and they can’t do what trucks were made to do. TOW. No, I mean for more than 100 miles.

I guess it will be interesting to see what happens when they go from concept to actual vehicle. First thing to go better be those suicide doors on the back. Those things are a pain in the ass in a parking lot. Park next to a car, open the front and back door and have the driver and rear passenger be trapped by their respective doors...I don't miss that in my F-150.

The roofline will be taller too. It looks like they lowered it to make it "sportier".

It's a very nice looking concept car. I'm a sucker for all those bells and whistles. I never thought about how impractical suicide doors are for parking so thanks for that perspective.

Not sure how they can be practically mass produce this truck though. This of course, includes all the issues every OEM has with the the software development side of their cars so i suspect that the nice special effects will be far more difficult to bring to market.

It looked like they had "Barn Doors" at the tailgate, which I thought was cool. It appears it is just a fold down tailgate, with a center seam? Probably wouldn't be good for hanging 10' lumber out of the back with barn doors flapping.

They should join Toyota and Honda and start protesting against EV.
