Headlight updates ‘23 premium

While I’ve been driving my rental Nero for a couple days, wife’s been in a loaner ‘23 MME Premium AWD ER. I took it to dinner tonight and noticed that the auto-dimming headlights now fade up and down between regular and high beam. This is something I had noted when I had the loaner F-150 Lightening as well. I think it’s a cool feature. Not that important in the larger scheme of life, but worth noting. Wonder if this can be Forscan implemented into earlier models?

It is standard with the later 2022 as well. I think there is a thread here somewhere explaining how to enable it for earlier models.

Yes there is a post with the setting to change with Forskin. Only works on the prem car due to headlight controller.

Do you mean when you switch between them to make it clearer you have changed from low to high or high to low?

Here you go! I tried this on a 2021 Job 2 and it gave me a persistent DTC that I could not get rid of.

Thanks Neil. I was searching for threads particular to the headlights so I didn’t find it. Also searching “fade” rather than “ramp.” It if you got a DTC out of it, I guess I’ll leave mine alone.

Worth a shot! Just save your info so you can revert back if it doesn’t work.

I have this on my 22 Premium, delivered in July. It's such a small detail but it really makes a difference with auto high beams. Rather than people thinking you're flicking your high beams on and off a lot (in certain situations), it just makes the experience much more subtle. It's a nice feature if you can find a way to safely enable it.

I really liked it on the Lightening when I had it. Didn’t know it was a thing in Mach-E’s until tonight. It just feels more refined.
