I just picked up my Mach E a few days ago. I have now noticed that I am having back pain from the seats. Been messing with the settings but cant get comfortable. Anyone else had similar issue or suggestions.

Not specifically with the MME (I find the Premium seat to be quite a good fit, but everyone is of course different). However, when the great recession hit and gas prices spiked in 2008-09, I was driving an Expedition 45 miles each way to work. My gas bill was running almost $1000 a month, so I bought a Ford Focus sight unseen to be a commuter. The seats were so uncomfortable I sold it in a few months. Problem solved.

I have a '22 Select, and am not experiencing any pain like you are describing. I push my seat all the way back, all the way to the floor, and recline quite a bit. Do you have heated seats? On the 2nd setting, it is almost therapeutic.

No they took out the comfort package in the 23 models

My only suggestion would be to try a new setting when you first sit in the car and try that out for a while, and not change the setting again until your next ride.

Once you have back pain (or any other pain) from a seat, or even a couch or whatever in your home, my belief is that you have to give your body a chance to recover from it. Otherwise, even if you find a good/decent setting, if your back is already in pain, you may still feel like you are experiencing 'new' pain, when really, it is leftover discomfort from the time you spent in the prior setting.

Aside from that, I am surprised, I am a big fan of the Mach-E seats. I have a Premium, but I thought the only difference was the Premium got perforated seats?

Is it not supportive enough? Lower back or shoulders?
you might try a few different lumbar supports from either a back store or online?
I’ve always had back problems but I have to say that my GTPE is very supportive. I wish it had a tad more of padding in the seat.

I'm thinking the recline angle would make the most difference.

I think I finally found a spot. The biggest thing was letting my back stop aching before continuing to mess with the settings. Cross my fingers that it solved the issue.

To me it’s too agressive in the lower back. The lowest lumbar setting is still my aggressive than I was use too.

I purchased the Select Model because the seats relieved my low back discomfort during the first test drive that I experienced while owning and driving a VW Alltrack. Sorry to here that your sets are the source of your low back pain.

awesome.....great move by letting the back come down and then try a new position. The seats seem to have so many combinations of position that it's trial and error until you find the one you personally like then lock it in. After test driving the different trim levels, IMO the Select seats are more comfortable and luxurious than the other trims - mainly no plastic and no perforation.

Glad you found a more comfortable seat position!
If you think it may help, seat heaters installed after market have run us less than $200/seat. Thinking about putting them in the back seat since I find the car to feel cool in the winter months.
