I woke up to discover there had been a charging fault - there was a constant thumping sound I couldn't locate. On a whim I checked the car and it was stone cold dead. Opened up Ford pass to discover the fault that happened around 11pm, followed a couple of hours later by a notification of an electrical system drain, and then a couple of hours later that the alarm was triggered. I think the alarm was the thumping sound I heard. It won't charge at all, and it's in deep sleep mode so I can't open the car. How would I even pop the hood to charge the lvb?

Obviously a service call is in order. Ugh. It's 3:38 am do you know how your MME is doing?

Also - this forum is a wonderful service, but sometimes it's difficult to find the best answers or applicable content on the site - is there a user-maintained wiki somewhere with that kind of information? I could start one if it doesn't exist.

Hi there. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

To bring this to a close - dealer couldn't reproduce the error and said there was no code to look up (it clearly said powertrain error yesterday morning) but then disappeared the next time I started the car. I guess that cleared the error codes? It's still kind of scary to me that after a charging fault, the LVB bled dry. No idea what caused that.

On the plus side, the dealership installed the latest updates, and when I got into my car tonight, I noticed that android auto now uses coolwalk! Yay! I have no idea what caused that, because I thought that was all controlled server side by Google.

On the negative side, my wife now says there's no way we're road tripping in it :(

The best we've got is pinned threads, but those are up to the Administrators' decision on what is pinned and for how long.

I created a wiki page for official Ford publications. I'd love it if people helped to keep that up to date (for example sometimes Ford updates the video postings on YouTube or elsewhere):

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...manuals-and-web-sites-for-mach-e-owners.1660/

If you want you could start a wiki post for unofficial publications, too, like with links to helpful posts from @Mach-Lee and others?

Nice work! And yes, I was thinking of "best of" from these forums, except in some categorized/indexed form that's easier to find.

I woke up to the exact same thing this morning. Charge fault, then electrical drain service required, then alarm triggered. The red ring is illuminated on the chargign port and I'm unable to unlock or pen the doors. Waiting on roadside so the dealer can check it out. Fun times...

Did you get the 4.1.2 update? I have a hypothesis.

You can also jump the car - I linked to the video above to get started. It was fun to hot wire the frunk and then remove panels to get access to the battery terminals.

I just got 4.1.1 a couple of days ago. My first thought was that something went wrong when it was trying to install 4.1.2, but since it's dead in the water right now, I have no way to verify that. I don't have a jump pack (which I will be remedying shortly), but I'm trying to get one so I can jump it and avoid having the car towed.

Just dropped it off at the dealer. They haven't pulled codes yet, but they're suspecting it's ANOTHER bad HVBJB. And I just got a new one in August. Unbelievable...

Doesn't look like HVBJB, SOBDM overheated while charging. Likely coolant air bubble.

Tried to get into my GT today, 100% dead. Had to leave it at home to get to work. Checking the Pass App and same error Electrical System Drain. I will jump it when I get home but obviously something is wrong again with an update. I can’t remember the update I had but it was a 4.something. Back to the dealer I go again.
