What do you think of this? Sorry if this is a little tough to read. This is from a full page ad in today's Wall Street Journal, placed by KIA.

Do you notice dichotomy between the statement above the white line, and below the white line? I had to enhance and darken the fine print below the white line, it was barely readable, LOL. Interesting, we have a super-fast charging capability, but recommend minimal use of it.

They warn people not to DCFC too much....then give buyers 3yrs of free DCFC.

I feel like these cars are going to have a bad reputation on the second hand market

I mean, the EV6 GT seems to be even more of a one trick pony than the MME GT/GTPE. I am envious of that top speed and acceleration numbers, but the range is a bit of a killer.

I have an MME Premium RWD on order but the 300+ mile range on the EV6 GT line is tempting...

I gotta tell you, please see the Inside EVs real world testing, you will likely never see the 300+ mile range in life.
The EV6 GT (not line) gets EPA less than 230.

This thread is about the EV6 GT with 206 miles of range

And think about it 206 is 100% charge so 90% is 185 now add winter and that's really short

I think it's a cool car but couldn't buy it.

Doesn’t Ford say the same thing?

Don’t fully charge your car, minimize DC charging etc.

Seems like the same disclaimer that’ll be on every BEV.

Read it again, LOL, the bold print above the white line, and the fine print below the white line.

If Ford has done something like that, I would like to see that. Shame on them if they did.

As for previous sales, the ad was in the WSJ Monday. We will see how it goes.

I don’t think they did it in an ad.

But pretty sure it says something similar in the owners manual.

Either way, whether they said it or not, it’s true for us too.

Ford doesn’t have a good track record of disclosing the truth in our limitations (*cough 5 second limit).

So for the same price as my GT I could get faster 0-60, higher top speed and more horse power. The downside of Ford calling the MME a Mustang is that there is some expectation of performance. Kia on the other hand doesn’t have that yet it seems they are going out of their way to provide it.
I just don’t understand why Ford didn’t do the same with the GT. Yeah I know 120 is plenty top speed and yeah the 5 second limit doesn’t affect most people at all but from a reputation perspective, why would they allow a GT MUSTANG to be released with these performance limitations? Clearly Tesla and now Kia can do it. Why can’t Ford?
Does the ev6 gt have a 10 second rule like the genius gv60?

Yeah, it's kind of weird for the company that will have to warranty the batteries on these constantly DC charged (probably to 100%, no less) vehicles to have offered unlimited free charging.

To get the full power the Ev6 GT has a maximum power mode where you need to meet a few conditions such as have 70% or more charge and have the battery at a happy temperature, it is similar to some teslas in the you have to wait for it to be ready once activated.

So it is still a bit gimiky in that it only has the headline numbers in certain conditions, from all the images and videos I briefly looked at a while back when not in maximum power mode it still seems to have around 80% power amiable without issue so if the gauge is linear you are still talking 460+

I have not seen any owner reports of timed limits (stand to be corrected of course) but there isn't a huge number out in the wild yet either, as more end up in owners hands I sure a clearer picture of its limitations will emerge.
