RIght. It didn't feel faster probably because of the suspension. I have the same opinion of the Model S LR which I launched on an open highway north of Daytona and I got to 85mph without feeling any push. The air suspension is very numbing in that car and I suspect the adaptive suspension is doing something to the GT. I tried GT mode + sport mode multiple times with the salesguy next to me.. he was fine because I've been chatting with him since I ordered way back in July 2022.That’s interesting that it doesn’t feel as fast as the GTPE. On paper it’s definitely faster.
This isn’t the first “faster” BEV that doesn’t feel faster though.
My guess is the explosive (and peaky) tq curve of the GTPE. 634 lb ft shows up fast…… then quickly disappears. Definitely gives that roller coaster feel.
I had a MINI electric that felt fast (acceleration and top speed) but when I looked at the dash I was only going 45mph lol.
Also, the GTPE has wicked low-end thrust to 30mph and that's what shoves me back into my seat.
