Tracking the HVB State of Health - how much decline is normal?

Almost 16k miles, so I didn't fill out the poll. A couple of WOT, but it's rare. Lots of DCFC (I would have to dig into the data, but I'm guessing close 50 or more). Many miles of road tripping. Lots of low temperatures, Lots of high temperatures.
Until recently, the SOH was 99.9%.

Today I have 97.5% SOH.

I do a lot of 1000 Amp WOTs. I wonder if that is doing it? Although @heisnuts probably has more WOTs than I do.

? Yeah, but I do not have the GT. I would love to see the count on mine. I am sure it would easily be more than the miles when my first HVBJB went out.

I was thinking exactly that (Mike's penchant for WOTs) but then I @heisnuts HVB SoH and thought ?

But yeah, the larger front motor of the GT coupled with copious WOTs could be the source of this. (I suspect bad luck also plays a role.)

you *might* find a different between SR and ER batteries, or trim levels
I have Select SR, and drive unbridled 1-p exclusively

I have 22k miles in 26months on HV.... HVBJB was replaced at 18k
...I have never used a DCFC, just Level 2
...I keep batt somewhere between 50%-80% unless I have a long day ahead and charge it 100% overnight.

checked SOH this am after charge to 100%m garage is 60F
SOH=95%

Similar platform here for me and I’m at 96% SOH

2021 job 2, SR, 19k miles, 1-p, with the big difference being around 750 kWh DCFC and maybe a dozen below 10% events (even 0% once)

I'm at 93%.

40k miles
DCFC at least 4 times a week
Charge to 100% at least twice a week

I've said this before, all the research I've read says that age+not driving the car is worse for the battery than DCFC, 100% charges and charge cycles. Of course they all wear on the battery, but your better bang for buck is to drive it, charge it, do what it's designed to do and stop worrying about it.

But if there is something I am doing to cause the SoH to be lower than anyone else has reported so far, I would like to know. I agree it isn't DCFC.

It bothers me because I don't want to lose range. And I am coming up on a 10% loss in range, which is significant. But I am not going to stop the WOTs. It is too much fun and one of the reasons I bought the car.

Have you noticed a significant difference in actual range? I guess it will be difficult to tell until it’s warmer out, but I’m curious because I thought that was the reason for the large buffer in the battery.

It would be nice to see all the individual cell voltages... especially when you are ~20% SOC... look for a few soft cells. Soft cells will show up more at a low state of charge.

Q Are we sure that State of Health = Capacity? (seems rational, but actual capacity could be a more complicated bit of math)

WOT is something less than a discharge rate of 5C for an ER car. WOT only happens for short periods... I'd be surprised if that is the cause of your problem.

I would say that I tax the car harder than the majority of the people in various ways. I really don't know why your SOH is lower.

That's really hard to tell. Maybe when it gets warmer I can compare to last year. EtE is definitely lower at 100% SoCD than it was a year ago.

I will monitor that the next time the SoCD gets down low.

SoH * 91 kWh seems to equal the EtE at 100% SoCD .
