I want that checkout scanner at 13:47. So fast. Plop and go.

"Pay with card anytime" is also seriously underrated.
I agree. We have those exact units in the WHQ cafeteria. Very nice to use.

I was just at that exact location earlier in the week with the BMW i4 that traded away!

Worked immediately with no fuss. Scan QR code and boom!
The biggest downside to these is that there is no way to do payment without the app. I had to help a Leaf driver get his charge going cause I saw him fussing with it and I decided to be a good EV comrade. I helped him add a new payment method to the app and finally it worked for him.

I checked out the app and their list of shops "with EV Chargers" includes Tesla super chargers, so buyer beware. If you check out their web site, they only show their proprietary chargers. (I assume.)

Wow, THAT’S a legacy! Go Irish☘. Bonus points if anyone (non-Domer or John) knows the real name of said mural.
?

He never did say one way or the other if it was intentional to have Jesus signaling a touchdown through the stadium goal posts, but he sure did love football!

Ah, and full disclosure, I usually have to look up "Touchdown Jesus" to find the real name ?

Same thing happened on the Turnpike last month with Brazilian tourists who didn't speak much English. They were renting a Polestar 2 from Miami to Orlando and had to charge at FPL at one of the service plazas. A Lightning owner and I helped this couple with the use of iPhone translator software - I mean... we were charging and bored lol. He had some foreign credit cards and one that was solely for use in the US.

It's interesting how he mentions Europe. Living in Sweden, we typically have the "Circle K experience" every day.

I am just so sorry to hear the struggles you guys in America seem to have with charging.
When I bought my car, I signed up for a charging network (~$15/m). It is an extensive network, I hardly need to charge somewhere else (apart from home obviously).

I have still to see a charging station that doesn't work and in an app I can see live updates of how many stations are occupied / how long it has been used and SOC of all users.
All I have to do is drive up to a station (all charging with 350kW each), plug in my car and go get a coffee. I am charged around $0.3/kWh and automatically shows up on my credit card bill.

Also, around 75% (?) of the Tesla network is open to everyone (with higher rates though - like $0.8/kWh)

On topic: Good to hear that Circle K seems to do what should have been done in the first place...

Thank you for sharing your experience in Sweden with Circle K.
We now know they have working model fingers are crossed they can replicate it in the US.

Many of us have stated that if traditional gas stations just installed a few DCFCs in key locations we would be set.
We have so many gas station brands and distributors it wouldn't take much to make traveling long distances easier.
Add in the Dealerships, and other in-town locations EV use would be mostly trouble-free.

Why don't they install canopy over chargers, yet have them over gas pumps. Florida pet peeve.

Tell them every time you are asked.
I have been getting plenty of EV surveys lately and I always add a comment about adding canopies over the chargers.
Heat, Rain, and Snow it's all the same as what gasoline users experience.

Kyle has an updated video to show the neat new hardware Circle K has installed at their field test site.
