That sucks. My mom
Owned a Fox body 5.0 drop-top. She was so enthused about my reservation on my GT-PE. Too bad the stupid cnacet killed her before I took delivery. ??
Sorry to hear that, a wildfire got mine. Heaven got two angels and we ride in their honor

I have a Mustang GT convertible and would give a thumbs up to a Mach E, but I am old enough to remember the Mustang hatchback. There have be a lot of variants of the Mustang through the years. I have owned 5 different ones, hopefully it will be 6 before long. I do not understand the animosity to the Mach E unless it is just because it is a EV.

I am 70 and have a 2023 premium AWD Mach e withe extended range battery. Ruby red. I love it. I also have a 1966 Mustang convertible, candy apple red, red interior and white top. V-8 automatic.
I have had about 20 Mustangs and loved Them all including a couple of Mustang IIs.

I have only had a few folks (Mustang ICE owners) say anything negative about my Mach E and it is usually related to Ford using Mustang name. I am a member of Mustangs of Memphis car club and for the most part it has been a good experience with my fellow club members. I have been a member of the club for about 5 years. Previous ICE Mustangs I have owned includes 8 GT's (oldest was a 1987 GT convertible), 2017 Shelby GT350, and a 2019 Shelby GT350R. I now own two Mach E's and love driving them the same as I loved driving the other ones. I also owned a 2017 Focus RS; I put many a Mustang, Charger, Challenger, Camaro, and Corvette to shame in that car, especially on twisting roads in the mountains LOL.

Note the common denominator here among acceptance from ICE Mustang drivers is they're all younger.
Not all are accepting. I have a 16-year-old kid in one of my classes who keeps asking me when my "fake Mustang" will be delivered. ? He's a car nut. Nice, as you don't see as many of those as you used to.

He's probably indoctrinated at home by a parent, though. ;)

most classical Mustang drivers ignoring the Mach-E or looking very skeptical at the thing. One 6x Fastback doing fancy things with his engine when he saw me.

Mr. Fastback was maybe demonstratively compensating for some hidden, unremarkable physical feature... ?

I was talking to someone's kid (maybe 16-years-old) before we got the Mustang. This kid was so indoctrinated into the anti-EV stance it was a bit scary. Thought himself a car nut but could barely differentiate between a piston and a cylinder and yet had very strong, uninformed opinions about EVs.

Yep. I hope that now that this person is out of high school they'll start exploring well beyond their previous range.
