There are “more secure” and “less secure” biometrics. The problem is that the really secure ones are a real PITA to use for some people (I worked someplace once that used sophisticated biometrics and, for whatever reason, I always had major problems ?)
The issue is that biometrics are digitized in the capture device and that is where they get stolen. They don't get stolen much more often than any other kind of password but the consequences are catastrophic as the user can not reset their biometrics

Well then I know if you're using it on both that you've found it won't connect to both at the same time and remembers which one you connected to last. When I switch from the car to the truck I have to get in the seat and hit the remote start button for whichever one I'm sitting in to make it switch over and let me use it as the key for that drive. I don't mind, it's just something I had to figure out while moving vehicles around the driveway one day without any keyfobs on me.
Quite true. In my case, it's usually a matter of switching vehicles on the app well before jumping in the other vehicle.
