Those of you that like PAAK, do you have an attached garage?

In my experience with both my Mach-E and, previously, Rivian r1t walking near the garage was waking up the car over and over. This seemed like an unnecessary waste of energy and generally bugged me enough that I exclusively use a fob.

It also annoyed me that there was a persistent notification on my phone that PaaK was active, which also made me feel like it was probably wasting my phone battery too. In the case of Rivian it definitely was. I didn't leave it activated long enough with the Mach-E to find out.

All that said, it wouldn't 'make me happy' if they removed it. I just don't use it cause it seems too inelegant.
Notification I turned off in android. Yes attached, and my living room is next to it, but it doesn't wake the car, we have a large chimney between us. But yes walking by the car at home, in garage, driveway, so I turned off walk away lock.

Mine is in an attached garage, but it only wakes up the car a few times before it stops.

consider what happens when your biometrics are stolen... you can't reset your fingerprint... biometrics are a terrible security idea at this point.
There are “more secure” and “less secure” biometrics. The problem is that the really secure ones are a real PITA to use for some people (I worked someplace once that used sophisticated biometrics and, for whatever reason, I always had major problems ?)

The issue is that biometrics are digitized in the capture device and that is where they get stolen. They don't get stolen much more often than any other kind of password but the consequences are catastrophic as the user can not reset their biometrics

I just completed the survey as well. I always use PaaK in my Mach E and Lightning. I have an iPhone 12Pro. My wife uses a fob because PaaK almost never works with her iPhone 7.
Well then I know if you're using it on both that you've found it won't connect to both at the same time and remembers which one you connected to last. When I switch from the car to the truck I have to get in the seat and hit the remote start button for whichever one I'm sitting in to make it switch over and let me use it as the key for that drive. I don't mind, it's just something I had to figure out while moving vehicles around the driveway one day without any keyfobs on me.

I have a Mach E, Escape PHEV and an iPhone 11Pro Max. I have never had a problem with it to date. I like not having to carry the FOB around since I already carry my phone in my pocket. Would not like it to go away,

Quite true. In my case, it's usually a matter of switching vehicles on the app well before jumping in the other vehicle.

In my first opportunity for a free-form response (why would you want it in a future car) I wrote this:
I love PaaK and use it all the time in my Mach E and Lightning. I have an iPhone 12Pro. However, it has never worked reliably for my wife using her iPhone 7. Even when I use PaaK with my phone, it is finicky. It often requires me to make sure the phone is "awake".
Sometimes my vehicles don't recognize my PaaK when I start the vehicle, even though I just used it to open the door.
Very often the vehicles don't bring up my user profile when I get in to drive. This happens most often when my wife is a passenger and has her fob. However, it even happens at times when I'm the only one in the vehicle. What's up with that?
Also, it is cumbersome to use for two vehicles. Shouldn't Ford be encouraging the purchase of two Ford vehicles? If so, why does it require that I switch vehicles in the FordPass app? Even once I switch vehicles, the FordPass app seems to take an inordinate amount of time to acquire the security information from the server to open and/or start the new vehicle. Why can't FordPass keep both of my vehicles active in the app?

When asked if I ever locked myself out:
Early in my ownership of our Mach E I did not have a fob with me and was only using PaaK. While spending time in a remote part of Everglades National Park where there was no mobile phone signal, PaaK became non-functional. I had to use the pillar entry code and backup start code for the rest of the day. Fortunately, these worked.
One time I also had my cell phone die while using PaaK. Again, the pillar entry code and backup start code saved me. Ford should never implement PaaK on a vehicle without the pillar and backup start codes.

I just meant if they considered getting rid of PaaK in favor of a card for your wallet. My phone goes more places than my wallet. And I do use the door code/start code but only if needed, I dont plan on using those, too slow.

But yes, adding a key card would be nice, it would be used by my wife for example. So yes to more options, but no to removing options
The question of do you often travel without your wallet or purse may be an indication they are looking at a card system. PAAK lags too much and the key FOB is too clunky
