Does anyone know if there is a way to have an audible warning when you have your turn signal on to change lanes and a car is in your blind spot? I know the mirror lights up, but is there a way to have an audible warning?

No Ford vehicle provides an audible warning when the BLIS indicator goes off.

Are you sure it's random? I'll get in, start it up, adjust things, remove the sun shield, maybe give the windshield a quick spray, then head out. 1, 2, stop signs, then a left turn stop light, then another light, make a left, three more lights until I hit the on-ramp and pretty much in the same spot ding-ding goes the chime. Why? Door open? nope, Seatbelt? nope, lights? nope, it's usually daylight. I've swiped down all the tabs except whatever music SiriusXM/USB stick so nothing on the screen.

Still get Ding-Ding at pretty much the same place.

And it doesn't happen in the AM, only one the way home at night.

School zone, sometimes. Cross wind sometimes, but all the time not message saying why. I get it much less if I con't have the Nav app open at all.

Since the update to 4.2.5, I seem to get a lot more dinging. Maybe it's my imagination but if I open the door, it starts dinging - could I have not noticed that in 2 years? Start the car, dings.
But not blind spot of course. I'm not sure my driver side one flashes soon enough either.

be aware the blind spot doesn’t work if you are at an angle to the trailing vehicle. Almost bit me yesterday.

Check to make sure the headlight bug didn’t switch your lights on.

Bug?
I was wondering about the lights being the cause. I also started seeing "Powering down to save ..." messages right after getting in to the car (just a few times).

In the driver alerts menu there are items like School zone warning, curves ahead warning that one can enable, is this that?

Rotate headlight knob to OFF, then back to AUTO.

OK, sort of on target. As @RickMachE said, rotating the headlight knob fixed it.

What happened is the car does not have a defined headlight setting after the last update - none of the 4 indicators were lit. Rotating the knob addresses the issue and it looks like they added a message in the IPC to reflect the position you select. Which is good because I don't need to decipher the little icons by the knob.
