Ford does not use Waze, it uses Here maps. So nothing will ever happen with waze in the native nav app.

There is no need to mount your phone though. You can just pull up the waze app on CarPlay or Android Auto.

Ford Nav doesn't use Waze. You can use Waze on Android Auto and CarPlay, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Waze and comparable apps don't incorporate real time SoC to help guide charging stops. It would be nice to have something that both can give that SoC information and charging stops in real time, with current maps that reflect construction, accidents, etc.

Of note, my husband and I just tried out ABRP with OBD integration to do charging stops with real-time SoC (on my Bz4X, because I don't yet have a Mach-E). It looks like it works, so should be a nice alternative if Ford's maps don't get updated once BlueCruise subscriptions expire. I don't think it would do crowdsourced realtime traffic updates like Waze yet, but this is still fairly new, and they continue to update and improve it, so maybe someday, it will.

Apple Maps is the only phone nav app that natively supports the Mach E SoC. Sadly, Apple doesn't allow other mapping apps to access that data.

Agree - I'm an Apple Fan Boy (ish) but always used Google Maps until about a year or two ago. They work quite well now, and SoC integration is great. If you gave up on them years ago...give 'em another try.

I don't understand your issue. I reported a couple of vehicles on shoulder today right on the Sync4A screen. I've entered all three of these repeatedly.

I'm using an iPhone. Does it not work on Android?

What I want to see if Ford building a crowd-source reporting option right into the stock map app. Imagine all Ford users being able to tell other Ford drivers this stuff without the need for AA/CP. Sigh. Dreams.

They changed this as expected behavior in a recent update. There's a lot of back and forth as to weather or not there should be the ability to disable "drive now".

I'm in the camp that no new features should be added without the ability for a user to be able to disable them, but Waze currently feels that you should always use a route regardless if it's a common route because it works best in route guidance.

So, as of right now, you can downgrade the app version or wait for the outcome of the battle. My guess is that they will eventually have it disappear after a set time or motion but we'll have to see.

The latest version of Waze also broke the navigation in the mach e drivers display (although I think this is a Ford issue as it has problems with small caps case). You have to guess the directions now.
