2 weeks into my lease on a Mach E Premium, AWD extended battery. Coming from a plug-in hybrid EV charging isn't a new concept for me.

When I look at the Ford charging network I see very few charging Ford Dealership as charging sites. If Ford has the free 250 kw credit for EVgo why are there not 2 at every Ford Dealership. Right now my choice are grocery stores which usually do not have open spots to charge.

Just asking for future use...I do have l2 charge point at home but need to upgrade to a 60 Amp circuit breaker and put in a new panel/meter.

Thank you for the correction, but I still have to ask why haven't they done this with EA.

EA owns their chargers, and the revenue. They are in easily accessible parking lots open 24/7 - Walmart, Target, gas stations. Not car dealerships.

Ford dealers selling EVs will be have high speed chargers, as required by Ford, eventually.

I get the dealership is closed, but they are not closed you can't get Into the lot to charge. I have 1 EA charger by me 20 .ins away but lots of L2 chargepoint and EVgo chargers. I wish Ford would of jist had a "credit for their network" and would of been much better in my opinoin.. "RickMachE, post: 662699, member: 5324"]

I don't know where you live, but many car dealers physically block the ability to drive around their parking lots when they are closed.

SE Michigan..drive around the cars yes, the closest one turns off their chargers after hours...replace them with EA or EVgo and make them available 24 hrs

Just to let you know Ford dealers are not prioritizing chargers:

When I picked up my MME last month, the dealer has 3 L2 chargers (service, delivery and customer area).
Only 1 worked,
My salesperson was running around trying to figure out why my PDI MME was not charging.
Don't know when Ford dealers will actually fork out tons of money to upgrade their chargers.

Regarding EA - Ford has partnered with already a bad reputation for non working chargers; they now have contracts to allow free charging with: Mercedes, Audi, BMW, VW, GM, Ford, and others.

I have not gone back to an EA charger and won't be using the free 250kW connected charge because the lines to charge is ridiculous.

EVGo has not partnered with any manufacturer and thus no line.

I charge on EVGo's network now:

I completely understand the point, my 2 cents Ford is missing out on Marketing and PR opportunities. Being in Michigan EV is kind of neglected. Michigan laws were enacted to keep out Tesla which is actually hurting the electric car service adoption now.

Commercial high speed charging providers prefer to place their units in high-traffic areas such as truck stops along the freeway and shopping centers with lots of traffic and people who will be stopping a while. They like to partner with locations with amenities so people can spend the 40 charging minutes eating or shopping.

Dealerships typically don’t meet those criteria. The dealers will be installing a limited number for the main purpose of charging vehicles that are being serviced.

Yep I get the point but the ones locally have people sitting in the car no one uses them and goes shopping like it is intended.
