It would not let me switch back to Undridle until after I switched to Whisper mode first.
Checks out - I've always found whispering is the best way to get to unbridle...

Hope this update breaks less stuff that the last update did (“Smart Changes”).

Wireless CarPlay doesn’t autoconnect and you have to go to Phone List and press Enable secure something. And that disclaimer that pops up in Apple Maps is unnecessary and annoying.

And Sync 4 froze for a minute and rebooted itself randomly (first time I’ve seen this). Have a video of it. Ford added 10 new bugs to something that was trouble free until now.

I've never had an issue with CarPlay needing to manually connect? Might need to do some resetting there to fix that issue... (Re-setup CarPlay)

I still don't know what powerup version my '23 MME is at.

Last week it was an old '21 PAAK update.

2 days ago as I was parking at work and said the update will take 21 minutes - undriveable.

Am I getting close to being updated ?

That’s a loaded question. First, the power up numbers are not versions, more reference numbers. They can even be delivered out of order, though they rarely are.
Second, few cars are actually completely “up-to-date” as power ups only address a few modules at a time and other modules in the car may have updates that ford never sends OTA.

I think you can get the frunk button by installing two files from FDRS. Then activating it on FDRS.
I am with Jim I tried to get the dealer to do this on my Job 1 car and they said it's not a recall would charge me and said they feel it's coming in an over the air update. Yea, yea, yea, sure it is... it will be 2 years end of July with no working frunk button.

Apparently, some dealers are now updating all modules at customer request. You might try again? Specify you’re trying to get the rink updates in FDRS.

Are you counting the time when they were sourcing the raw materials for your car? I don't think any regular customer had one back in July 2020 :)

I've been without a frunk button for over 30 years, I've heard some users report even longer.

Is the general consensus that 2021 FEs will never have the Frunk Release button? ?

It's technically feasible. I've got a 2021 Job 1 and I have a working remote frunk button. But only because 2 things happened.

1. My dealer updated all of my modules last fall when it was in for service. So entering the door code on the B pillar and then pressing the 7-8 button will open my frunk. 2. I'm taking part in an internal FordPass 5 beta which displays the frunk button.

Needs work and I'm giving them feedback.
I assume you must work for Ford in some capacity? Got in contact with a product owner and may be getting added to TestFlight someday. We will see if that happens.
