I always carry a FOB and I gave up on PAAK as it seemed slow and unreliable. My 2022 was new on March 1/23 and always required only a single press for 4-1/2 months. For the last 2 weeks or so it takes two presses at least 50% of the time. It also sometimes does not turn on the puddle lights at night now.

I noticed a LOT more double presses needed after 4.3.6. It was previously great. BTW the <something>-LAT update included a door module update which I also got like 2 days before 4.3.6 so it might be that update causing it. I've rebooted Sync like 5 times, which doesn't have an effect because sync has little to do with the button to the door module.

In the early days, detaching and 're-attaching' the 12 volt battery did the trick...

Hey there, Erik! Can you please send me a DM with your VIN and dealer name/location so I can look into these door button concerns for you? To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation". I'd be happy to see what I can do to assist!

What I have noticed is that you need to push the middle of the door button for the door to reliably open. Pressing near the edge does not work. So be more careful pushing the button.

We use PAAK exclusively on our 2022. Even with the buttons lit, doors open after one press only if we’re lucky. Often two, sometimes more presses are needed.

Will try press & hold to see if that helps.

It also seems to take two presses to enable cruise control. Shouldn’t it engage with only one press?

Anecdote of one, but this has been the case with my door buttons since I purchased the car (July ‘21.) I’ve just kind of accepted it as a non-fatal but somewhat embarrassing flaw. Not a big deal most days, but in the rain or when you’re trying to move quick, it’s pain.
It's intermittent for me, since 5/21. I cannot find a pattern, update or not. It usually requires an eyeroll (from me) and then it stops for a while.

I just notice this recently. It must have been an update. Not a biggie but strange that it used to open easily but now two pushes.

It happened since I purchased my car. If I opend the trunk before, it will happen anytime. If I open the door directly, it will open at the first push.

This has happened since I bought the vehicle also. I believe there was another thread where dealers were replacing the appliqués (which scratch and get cracks around the button anyway) and it fixed the issue. I brought this up to my dealer and they “could not replicate the issue” as I watched the valet clearly have to do it also. It’s a minor inconvenience in my opinion, but nonetheless, they should work!

Hey Ford Motor Company- what am I? Chopped liver? I’m the OP on this issue, yet you volunteer to help someone else pretty far down the chain - and not moi?

And for you folks who don’t work for Ford. Have you ever seen an updated post from someone who received a message like this from Ford and actually got help and a resolution. Not saying it hasn’t happened, but I haven’t seen one in my 2.5 years on this forum,
