Well, it is fitting that you would be the first to get it (or at least report it). I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if some of the lurking insiders here really did put you at the top of the priority list.
That would be a nice thought - and a good “surprise and delight” move ?

I’ve already got those too. And the new HVJB. Looks like I might be getting new motor inverters too.
I’m talking about the missing chips in the 2022s.

It was added to the Sync screen by his dealer. I wonder how careful Ford will be about adding the button in FordPass for cars that haven’t had their BCM/GFM updated. I thought that was the reason they were holding it back from the app.
I’m sure it’s coming for everyone else. I’m usually not the trailblazer who gets the cool stuff first ?
Last I heard on the subject was that the FordPass people were planning on adding that capability when a certain (unspecified) percentage of Job 1 cars had the necessary updates enabling the electronic frunk release. There has been no change as far as I know in the plans regarding pushing the module update via OTA. There may have been a possibility, at one time anyway, that the modules would get an update during the BC 1.3 suite of updates. So far that hasn’t happened.

If job 1 owners want the electronic Frunk release, their best bet is through a dealer that will perform the updates, either for a fee or free. If they’re waiting on Ford, they may be disappointed. In my case, the dealer won’t update even if you offer to pay absent a bulletin, CSP, etc. from Ford on the subject. Which also hasn’t happened.

Maybe that’s why @Jimrpa now has this through the Ford servers: They finally packaged an OTA. The timing on when that gets released may be in 10 years, but maybe they actually have an OTA package. ??
Well actually that would be at least the second job 2 Frunk OTA package. ?
