Forgive me if this was answered elsewhere but I couldn't find it...

The 12v in my '21 is almost dead. Meaning, the doors won't open till pop the hood for a normal jump, but best I can tell because there's enough charge left to light the LED above the door code buttons (though not enough to light the actual buttons), the frunk override leads won't allow the hood to pop (and yes, I know for a fact my jump box works, this isn't the first time a 12v has died in the car).

Anyone have any ideas how I can finish draining the 12v? (Preferably better than sitting in a bag chair in my garage constantly hitting the door code buttons)

So you tried a regular fob and the doors still don’t open with the button?

If you’re using a lithium jump pack on the frunk leads you have to use the override button on it so it actually provides power.

Have you brought it in for service? Is it an early build that suffered from the DC/DC charger not keeping the battery maintained correctly? Have you had that update installed?

No go on service, I found out after every dealer in 100 miles had closed for the day (and there's no way in paying for a flatbed so I'm waiting until I can pop the hood). And yes, I have every available update installed.

Maybe someone who had a vehicle back then can chime in because I'm not sure. @generaltso maybe? Was the LVB issue for early '21s OTA? I thought you had to bring it in for that.

You could just have a dead battery, which happens but you should also be getting spammed with messages in FP about it maintaining the battery. If you aren't then something is wrong.

It did go out OTA eventually, but there were a lot of cars back then that weren’t getting OTAs, so they didn’t get it unless they went to their dealer. I hope there aren’t too many cars still out there that are still in that state.

What happens if you try plugging the car in with J1772? I would think that would either make it wake up and charge or fault out and drain the battery.

It's been plugged in all night but still hasn't finished dying. We're expecting storms here today, maybe I can hook it up to get struck by lightning and overload whatever disables the hood leads...
