It could be “stuck.” There are a number of people whose cars are OTA stuck. This condition needs to be fixed by your dealer. It could be as simple as updating a module in order to fix it. It might require the replacement of a module (rare). ??
Yeah mine is stuck on 3.5.3, I did go to the dealer, they looked and said "everything is fine, you might get them eventually"

I've come to the realization that if I want the latest software, I'm going to have to trade the vehicle for one that has the latest software ?

You can’t just end it like that ? Inquiring minds want to know - “the opportunity” for what? Sharks with frickin’ laser beams? A million dollars? $5 off your next fastlane oil change? ?
Haha! Nothing major (since I'm not even in EA yet). But I am covered under their nondisclosure. Let's just say it will be something that everyone will get soon enough... Without having seen it yet, I am not sure how much of a change it will ultimately be...

UPDATE: Right when I was writing this reply, the new thing I am testing became available. Not fully implemented yet, but has at least one handy feature...

Oooor, just FDRS it yourself. For me, my time is more valuable than messing around with a dealership, rather have the car in my driveway.
You got that right.

What is it? Charge assist has already been disclosed.

I'm going to honor the non-disclosure, but I will say that it's not related to an OTA update on the car.

2022 ICE F150s are getting this update as well. Both of my vehicles are EA and the F150 got it before the MME

I’m going amend my earlier replay to add that my wife’s 2021 job one got the 6.1 update. My 2021 GT-PE did not.

If you've had the vehicle for a few weeks it will take longer than that to catch up. You will slowly get more as days go by to bring it up to date. Also there are some of us that are in Early Access Program and so we may receive updates that have not deployed to everyone yet.

Someone else can jump in and correct me here since I can't remember, but I think if you're on 4.2.5, you have 4.2.6 to go then 5.1.1 so you're not far behind really.
Thanks I appreciate the info. Really helpful info but that makes sense. You would think the cars could receive OTA at the dealership but I guess they don’t start receiving until someone buys the car.
Thanks again for the info! ??

Did you get the previous one? Mine wouldn't take 5.x
I’m pretty sure it did. Hard to keep up when Ford tells you you got an update. But never which car.

I think a lot people shy away from the FDRS option thinking its difficult or risky. If you are the slightest bit tech savvy, and willing to invest in the equipment, FDRS is a very do-able option. And if you do run into trouble, the people on the DIY FDRS thread are extremely helpful.

You're welcome, yeah OTAs generally don't get activated until a sale is pushed through. There are so many things that activate after a sale. (BlueCruise, Sirius Trials, ect.) Wish that was different but it is what it is.

If it is charge assist, the NDA has been lifted and so it no longer applies. However there are other apps that can be enabled the same way Charge Assist was which didn't require an OTA.
