As big a question, what need is their for a glass roof on a car cab anyway? If someone wants one let them order it. I don't., but all three EVs I am looking at have them as standard. grrrrr.

I was lucky that the GT had an option for a metal roof when I ordered it. Not pushing it but the Rally is supposed to also have a metal roof option.

In the very first photo of the OPs first post, a few inches above the reflection of the phone, there is something resembling impact damage. If it is impact damage, I'm wondering if it could have started the crack despite not being part of the crack?

According to the published promo data, the Rally will not have a metal roof option. A metal roof will be the only roof configuration.

I understand. I like the glass roof personally, but that's hardly universal.

It is lighter than the sunroof and given the other things we know about the rally at this point, it's not surprising to see some weight cutting going on.

I like the metal roof better at -30F.
