I'm seeing brand new Mach-E GTs on AutoTrader for $49k. Seems far too good to be true. Some kind of bait and switch or they're just stacking all possible discounts (whether you qualify or not)?

I'm not showing any incentives around here. Here's what the pricing looks like in M.Y vs comparable MME...

The M.Y is eligible for the full $7,500 tax credit making it $38,130 (all fees, no taxes)
It can also option the tow hitch for $1k and can tow 3,500lbs

1696449190851.png

$38,130 + taxes / registration

Vs the comparable MME premium at $45,690, a $7,560 Difference!!
Only eligible for $3750 tax credit. $2450 in BS fees - come on ford

Ford has an uphill battle. While I'm not interested in the catfish cars, this right here is a huge difference and cosmetics aside, is REALLY easy for most buyers. That's leaving out the charging mess and heat pump differences. The MMEs resistance heater can really suck down the juice. Both vehicles have LFP so no advantage there.
Which $2450 BS fees? Every manufacturer has destination charges, it's kind of obvious, you can't avoid it. Also there is always an acquisition fee when you originate a lease.
And I wouldn't compare that barebones Model Why with MME Premium, which is much nicer car. Perhaps MME Select is a better comparison, which I still think is a better car than Tesla. Bottom line, you get what you pay for.

that's good to see, than I only missed out on the 6250 since mine is a job 2. But I think the interest rates went up so I got 0%,

What’s it say when you click “view pricing details?”

My guess is it’s the rebate plus the tax credit. That equals $13,000 of MSRP. Then maybe another $500 bonus cash or discount.

Either way, it’s pretty significant.

And it is one more nail in our horrible resale value coffin this year.

Glass roof, heated seats, hands free interstate driving, premium audio -- I went feature for feature. It may be inconvenient, but that's what the typical buyer is going to see. That's of course ignoring the charging network for which there's no comparison.

These are the "pricing details". Not particularly helpful. The dealer website also states:

"KBB Fair Market Range Low: $58,815 90/77 City/Highway MPG
Factory MSRP: $62,295 Price includes: $6250 - Retail Customer Cash. Exp. 01/02/2024 "

I think you may be right about them incorporating the tax credit. Maybe destination also not included.

No way they are truly selling GT's for under $50k. There's a 23 GT PE at a dealer near me for $62k and I thought that was a steal....

It's hard to know how to react to this. There's the obvious disappointment of not saving more money, but then there is no way of knowing if I'd find the AWD, color, and interior I want in the Premium.

When I was still waiting for it to be built, I used to scour the car sites looking for the same car I had on order and did not find it very often, so would likely have had to settle. I would not have been happy settling for something that wasn't exactly what I wanted.

I suppose if you keep looking for greener grass on the other side of the fence, you're going to find it. I'll choose not to look from now on.

Used 2022 gts are going for $47k to $50k, those prices above must include the tax credit

Even if they include the tax credit, the quoted prices are still missing $4k worth of discounts. $2k of that might be due to not including destination/misc fees, not sure what the remainder could be.

If someone does not qualify for the tax credits, does it make the most sense to get a used GT since the tax credit might be baked into the selling price already?

I'll be honest, I think a used Mach E is by far the better deal as it stands now. IMHO

What’s the “price breakdown and offers” tab look like when you click?

edit- looks like they added “retail customer cash” twice.

Probably coded incorrectly on their back end tool (the lease and the purchase). Should only get one of those.

Very glad (and thankful) I got my car when I did under the circumstances I did.

Am starting to see a few more MMEs about but still more just sitting on lots.
