So I’ve read that a fully charged CA Rte-1 MME should be around 310 miles. I have my charger set to charge to 80% but I’ve noticed it stops at about 228 miles. If 310 is truly the amount of a 100% charge this math doesn’t add up. Should I charge to 100% to see what the top end truly is and adjust accordingly or just increase my charge to a higher amount?

Cold(er) weather will change the "range"/guess-o-meter display. Sitting in the garage unused for a few days will result in a loss of range during cold(er) weather. No need to freak out over this number stuff.

Live in Az so I don’t think the cooler weather a factor :). Not freaking out - just would like to get the most range possible out of each charge.

How fast do you typically drive? The slower your average speed, the more efficient your car will be, and longer range it can manage, but that's not really practical all the time.

Anything below 75 degrees is “cooler weather” according to your battery. And as thekat03 points out, speed is a MAJOR factor. EPA range is based on an average of somewhere around 48 miles per hour. So if you really want 310 miles, drive 48 miles per hour in 80 degree weather. Anything else, and you’ll get less.

My ER AWD usually shows 252-260 for 90% and that is equal to roughly 260-289 at 100%. When I calculated the % used and real driven miles, 100% would be between 220-230 miles or 10%-15% lower range. All numbers are for in town driving during hot or nice weather. GOM is just for show.

I live in AZ and mine typically shows 234 @80%. It does not matter, when I road trip I get 3 miles/%, or 300 miles at 70-75mph. The Gom is meaningless, who cares about in town range. Just go with your experience.

If I put my Rivian into conserve mode, the Gom shows 347 miles @100%. But on road trips at 70-75mph I get 300, just like my CR1 MME.

There's a reason why it's called a Guess-o-meter, everything is fine, just enjoy your car. How often do you travel 310 miles in a day?

In the next week or so I'll put the winter tires on and will see a drop. The pirelli summers do not like the cold

Yeah, I'm getting ready to switch to the Continental DWS06 myself.
