Preconditioning didn't work

I tried to precondition the cabin for the first time yesterday (Wednesday) and it did not work.

Car was plugged in.
I made a departure time in the FordPass app at 1pm (Wednesday) for a 3pm (Wednesday) departure time.
Departure time showed up on the "Vehicle" tab screen for right day of week and time.
I left the FoordPass app open in the phone...just in case it was needed.
I did not set up anything on the car screen (Sync).

When my wife got into the car at 3:10pm, the cabin was ice cold (car was in the garage. Outside temp 25°F)

Why did it not work?

Sorry - forgot to mention: 2023 Premium AWD EXT (June manufacture date). latest powerup 6.1.0

Next step is to see what it says in the car.

There was nothing different on the screen yesterday when she turned on the car. I will set up a new departure time today, then go in the can and see if it shows on the departure screen.

It has always been more reliable to set your charging and departure preferences in the car's Sync 4A screen than using the app.

No, Emporia is set to charge at any time.

Check the pre-conditioning settings in the car - as @ChasingCoral mentioned, setting up preconditioning in the app isn't always reliable.

I set up a new departure schedule in the app for today at 3:30pm, Medium cabin. The car is plugged into the Emporia 40A charger. An hour later I went to the car and checked the Sync screen. There was no schedule set up! I set it up from the Sync screen and we'll see how it does.

Ford really needs to add an on-demand preconditioning option. My wife and I do not use the car at the same time any day so setting up a permanent schedule does not work for us.

Do you mean cabin heating or battery pre-conditioning. If you just want to warm the cabin on demand, press the start button in the app.
