It's November. Where is our Blue cruise update?

Not that that will get you anything.

Ford missed the date, period. When Mike Levin wrote on Twitter on 10/4 that "In Q3, BlueCruise 1.3 started shipping on the Mustang Mach-E to customers and rolling out OTA to existing Mustang Mach-E owners (2021 - 2023)", that was simply PR BS. It's embarrassing that a company would pull tactics like that, knowing full well that not a single vehicle that belonged to an end customer had functioning BlueCruise 1.3. And, over a month into Q4 still doesn't.

They'd carry a lot more credibility if they'd simply admit that they missed a date, which was Summer, not Q3 anyway.

But we're talking to ourselves.
Are you saying Mustang Mach Es with 1.3 aren't being shipped?

Many of us have certainly been receiving OTAs to bring us Blue Cruise. They were first reported here on September 28. It's just that none of us have received the last of those OTAs yet.

Please enlighten us with a link to that.

The most definite statement I recall was:
"Hi owners! The Ford BlueCruise 1.3 software update is coming soon ... "
https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...tware-update-coming-soon-reminder-tips.29603/
How about this:
https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/coming-soon-bluecruise-1-3.29252/

" Mustang Mach-E customers with model years 2021-2023 equipped with BlueCruise can receive the update to BlueCruise 1.3 via a Ford Power-Up software update once it starts to roll out to vehicles later this summer. "

Emphasis is mine.

We've had this discussion.

Farley said we'd have it in Summer. They missed that. Levine said that in Q3 " rolling out OTA to existing Mustang Mach-E owners (2021 - 2023)".

You may feel that getting update 1 of X in September, and still not being complete in November is "rolling out".

Not a single Mach-E got OTA of BlueCruise 1.3 in Q3. Fact.

I have no issue with them missing the date, as far as ensuring the updates work properly (although not making any of your set dates almost 3 years in is an issue). Admitting the missed date, and not claiming they didn't miss it, is where I have the issue.

Are you purposely being obtuse? Any reasonable reader of @Ford Motor Company's posts and the e-mail reminders Ford sent telling us to "Get ready" would assume that at least some cars would have functioning BC 1.3 delivered OTA by November.

Well you know what they say about "assume" don't you.

The difference is I'm not assuming.

I’m never going to get BlueCruise 1.3 since… My GT-PE is incompatible with it. ??

As far as I recall, all they promised was to start rolling it out at a certain time. If you can find where Ford promised either (1) everyone would have BC 1.3 on s specific date, or (2) you would have your BC 1.3 on a specific date, then you might have a promise you can work with.
You can use whatever technicality you want, but to me it's another case of over promising and under delivering. I don't want to fight about it, especially if you really believe Ford is doing exactly what they led us to believe they would.

Seriously, when I bought my mach E in April it sounded like 1.2 was being released soon. Then 1.3 comes along and it's even better. Expected "later this year". Will it be when the ball is dropping in Times Square?
Oh cry me a river, newb, some of us waited a year for BC 1.0 lol

Well you know what they say about "assume" don't you.

The difference is I'm not assuming.
I am a bigtime Ford partisan. My dad is a Ford retiree having worked there 33 years, and Ford is literally the reason I exist, since it both brought my dad to MI, and is how he met my mom. I've never owned anything but Ford cars. But my friend, your level of drinking the Kool-Aid is pretty epic. There's no assuming necessary. Ford's president and CEO plainly and unambiguously promised it via OTA by this summer. They didn't START until fall. It's now well into fall and most people don't have it. Hell, it's almost closer to winter now than to summer 2023. They biffed it. You don't make promises like that without knowing you can deliver. But they did. And if it turns out you were pretty sure you could do it, but it turns out you can't, you say so, as publicly as you did when you made the promise. I don't care much about 1.3 since mine came with 1.2, but I can understand being a bit frustrated by promises that repeatedly aren't delivered.

As much as I love Ford, their technology track record includes a LOT of vaporware. Back when Sync first came out, Ford promised that you would "always be able to keep it updated" so it would never be obsolete. That never actually happened. I had Sync in my 2010 Mustang GT, and maybe two updates came out for it, and they were pretty minor, and then they said, "welp, that's it for updates for this version of Sync." Every time a new version of Sync came out, it had new features, and they just abandoned the old version--you were never able to upgrade Sync to the next version without either buying a new car or trying to get your hands on new hardware and shoehorn it into your car yourself. It's not at ALL unreasonable to be suspicious of Ford's promises on BC 1.3. I absolutely wouldn't count on there ever being, for example, a BC 2.0 that any of us will ever get to use without buying a new car.

It’s not a technicality. Ford said one thing, many folks on here jumped to huge conclusions of the downstream possibilities that might mean and claims Ford made THOSE promises by implication or assumption.

Ford announced that the Power Ups leading to BC 1.3 would soon be rolling out. They did.

I’m certain the Ford employees quoted here were hopeful the rollout of BC 1.3 would go smoother than it has. Has Ford’s found out their software updates aren’t going as smoothly as they wanted? Certainly.

I was really hoping to have BC 1.3 by now. However, I received BC 1.0 almost a year late and still don’t have a fully functional frunk. These things take time. If you’ve been paying any attention you would know Ford is working to make these upgrades to our cars but it’s sometimes a struggle.

I guess I just have more patience for Ford who’s working to make our cars better than I do for people who are blaming Ford for things they didn’t say.

Ford found some issues and has halted everyone at 6.2.0. We're all awaiting resolution of these. For those of us who got past 6.2.0 and all is good (like my Lightning at 6.3.0), don't worry about it. You're fine.

So just a simple question: do you want it quickly or do you want it safe?
Keep in mind the lightning's 6.3 is the MMEs 6.2. Seems updates of all platforms has stalled for now. Given the recent release of all sorts of updates regarding the HVBJB, it appears efforts were being put elsewhere.

I was using 1.0 on 75 north of atlanta earlier and it's just hot garbage. Couldn't keep it enabled.

I’m with you. Even though I want the update as well, I don’t understand the outrage people are showing here.

Updates started late summer (as promised) and it’s only been a month and people have already gotten 3 or 4 updates in that month period.

Seems like 3-4 updates per month is a “reasonable” amount to me.

Not sure why people would assume we would get more than 3-4 per month. As far as I remember we haven’t ever gotten more than that.
