- 2023 Mach-E Select

I am still waiting to hear back from the BEV team on whether or not my buyback will be approved on my 2023 Mach-E Select that had an HBVJB failure 10 days after I bought it and is now having the same issue after two HBVJB replacements. It's a safety issue so only two failed attempts are needed as per California lemon law requirements.
I'm still on the fence on getting a Mach-E Premium with extended range. But looking back I am wondering if paying $4,000 for an extended warranty at the point of sale was worth it? I can buy an extended warranty at anytime, so why not just wait until I hit the first factory warranty at 36,000 miles? Even then, I'm not sure anything not involving the drive train or battery would cost that much to repair.
So am I over thinking this?
