I’ve been considering joining the Early Access Program for the Mach-E. Have people actually been getting any beta software that subsequently gets revised or pulled?

It seems like it is more first access to the updates, which I’d feel better about getting.

I’ve been in it since the beginning. It’s evolved and grown a lot over the years. I don’t regret joining, but it’s not like I get invitations to play golf with Bill every weekend or something ???

Have they actually sent any updates that as far as you know get changed or pulled before being sent to everyone? Does it feel like the EAP updates are any buggier than normal updates?

I like it - being invited to a lot of different surveys, beta software, etc...

Charge Assist was the most feedback I ever gave before it went to the masses.

@ARK, the program requires participants to sign a confidentiality statement. If you join, you don't talk about what it may, or may not give you. Ì heard that you get dinner with Bill, but cannot confirm.

Don't talk about fight club...

I feel fortunate to be permitted to participate in the EAP. It provides three basic benefits:
  1. It kinda usually puts you sorta towards the front of the line for non-beta updates.
  2. It provides email surveys, and hopefully the answers to those surveys are more impactful than, say, just logging a complaint with frontline CSR, but who can really say? At minimum, I’m a nerd who likes filling out surveys when I feel I have something useful to contribute. Ford may or may not care.
  3. It very occasionally pushes beta applications. Not all EAP members are invited to all beta campaigns. They’re beta = buggy. But they’ve never impacted my operation of the car. And honestly, this is the least beneficial aspect of EAP because I’ve found the beta releases to be pretty useless for my use case. I just don’t care much about things like ChargeAssist, for example.
You shouldn’t worry about EAP bricking your car. That doesn’t happen. If you can score an invite, do it! I think the only reason a chronic complainer and jokester like me got into the program is that I bought my car March 2021!

Something important to keep in mind about EAP is that there is an NDA in place. People may not like it, but that NDA is in place for very good business reasons. I can’t comment on my experiences with EAP other than to say I’m glad I was accepted into it, and my interactions with the program have been great. I don’t think I’ll be spoiling things by saying that our cars are being developed and supported by a team that is truly passionate about the vehicles and Ford’s customers.

Thank you. Based on this, I will try and enter the program, that doesn’t seem too burdensome with the beta software, and would love to get the full releases earlier.

Yes

Not usually but sometimes they still need work.

You’re not missing anything. He’s not a great golfer and is smart enough not to bet on his game. ;)

I was accepted into EAP a week or so ago- maybe a month after I applied. I'm a 55 year old woman so that might have something to do with my quick acceptance. They probably want a range of ages, and both men and women.

You don't??? ?
I think @Jimrpa did and then put a gift in the frunk.
“Sorry I can’t push a button to get it out” he told Bill.
“Oh, that will be updated before we leave the course”
