Is there a conversion adapter so that my MachE can use the Tesla power station now, so I do not need to buy more power cords?
Yes, they sell them. I don't have any experience with them. I hate adapters\dongles so this charger gets me both.

No one’s mentioned Emporia yet. Their equipment is excellent and they participate on this forum.

Check out Tom Moloughney’s UTube channel “State of Charge” for good EVSE reviews.

I highly recommend reviewing the YouTube channel State of Charge. He has tested all of them and lays out the pros and cons on each.

Rate for electricity has no correlation to any rebate a utility company may provide.
Agreed, two different facts, Ontario appears to not offer a rebate, however, our power rate is better than most.

I have a ChargePoint Home Flex, but only because my buddy had an extra. If I were to go get another one today, I would also go for the Tesla Universal one.

+1 recommendation for the State of Charge channel!
Thanks, I did review the channel. The guy recommended Emporia as one of the best values, however, 1 year prior to the recommendation, he ripped into the product for a stiff cord in cold climates

I also have a ChargePoint Home Flex. It has been very reliable, and recently, they updated the app to allow you to adjust how many amps you want to charge at. I love this new feature! It's been useful when I forget to charge and need to charge quickly - 48 amps (I'm on a 60 amp hardwired circuit). When I don't have to charge very many kWh and want to make sure the LVB is charged - 8 amps (or any value in between) so it charges slowly. Charging slowly to keep the 12 V LVB charged in one of the tips given here to avoid OTA update issues, and it has worked for me!

And, my utility gave me a 50% discount on the ChargePoint, so that was helpful. Plus, you get to deduct the charger and installation costs on your taxes (in the US, at least the year I did it)!

Just make sure that the one you get has UL/C-UL or CSA safety approvals. Most of these do their jobs perfectly well. ??

Good point, my electrician is coming this week to install, the idea is to give myself the highest amount of AMPS possible, not necessarily for now but future use.
running chargers at 32amps on a 50amp circuit (6/3 awg w 8ground) will help everything last longer and *probably* will be plenty fast enough to get 200+ miles into the car overnight if needed.

Emporia is a great option at a really good price point. If I remember right Tom gave it a really high ranking on his channel. Its flexibility is almost unmatched in the EVSE space. It's simple enough to be a "dumb charger" if that is all you are looking for but if you want more integration and the ability to expand into the "smart home" space the options they offer are almost limitless.

I bought a ChargePoint Home Flex based on positive feedback here and elsewhere, but soured on them big time because they had the ability to adjust amperage but took it away about a year ago. It’s back now, as you noted, and better even than it was before with the scrolling adjustment in 1 Amp increments.

So while me and ChargePoint had a bit of a rocky patch, I am back to saying I would endorse them as a good charger. I like the way the handle docks with the ChargePoint. Before it we had an OG Juicebox 40 (the all silver, no labels or LEDs of any kind) that never gave us any trouble, only got the ChargePoint because our utility essentially bought it for us through a rebate program. I can’t speak for modern JuiceBox stuff though.

I went with the ChargePoint Home Flex: up to 48A adjustable charging, it automatically computes your dollar cost per charge and per month (you just put in the utility and the plan), and you can replace the J1772 with a NACS cable in the future.
